Description

The Presidential Agent adventures return in the most harrowing novel yet in the #1 New York Times–bestselling series.

M exican drug cartels are shooting up the streets of Laredo and El Paso. Somali pirates are holding three U.S. tankers for ransom. The President is fed up and has what he thinks is a pretty bright idea—to get hold of Colonel Charley Castillo and his merry band and put them on the case. Unfortunately, that will be difficult. Everybody knows that the President hates Castillo’s guts, has just had him forcibly retired from the military, and now Castillo’s men are scattered far and wide, many of them in hiding. There are also whispers that the President himself is unstable—the word “nutcake” has been mentioned.

How will it all play out? No one knows for sure, but for Castillo and company, only one thing is definite: It will be hazardous duty.

Silly and pompous. Not near as good as the WEB only earlier ones.
  • Not very good

I’m a fan of the various WEB Griffin series but this final book just plays out the series. Not much action or intrigue. Just a silly story and ending.
  • Liked all books in this series but this one had too much repetition

My first W.E.B. novel. I found it, well read, at the VA JACC in Pensacola, FL. Not knowing what to expect, I gave it a chance, found it funny and in many ways related to my own experience with certain officers and non coms who spent less time serving and more time behaving like untouchable horn-dogs. Nonetheless, it got me started on reading other WEB novels, Starting with the Honor series, right on through the Aviator series and into the Corps series...and that can’t be a bad thing. Read it for what it is, a tongue in cheek look at some of the people in the service of an out of control president.
  • Complex plot line that made no sense

This book is one of the worst books I have read including the books of the summer reading list of when I was in high school over forty year’s ago. This is a waste of ten dollars I would have rather given the ten dollars to a homeless person it would have been better spent that way. The plot line had to many characters in it and followed no rhyme or reason. The title of this book is Hazardous Duty. Where was the hazardous duty at there was none they traveled to and from places with no intrigue or anything in the form of excitement. I like W.E.B Griffin books I have several complete series of his and reread them often I am glad I did not read this one first or I would not have read any of his other books.
  • Horrible ending to the series

Don’t bother with this book. It’s no where near as good as others in the series and was a VERY disappointing way to end the series. I love WEB Griffin’s storytelling, but there was no evidence of his guiding hand in this story by another author. Worse than a waste of time.

After reading many of his earlier books and thoroughly enjoying them this was a total dud. Instead of action and intrigue i wasted my time with a stupid story. Very disappointed, would not recommend at all.

A go nowhere novel. Unimaginative at best. Totally disappointed, barely finished this book. Should have stopped at the seventh book in the series. Save your money.

Too much chaos. Overwhelming to try and keep up. Very disappointed.
