    Intense storyline of helping his best friend out of a tough spot, could leave Stone with a challenge of protecting his heart or losing it to the only woman he shouldn’t want or have. Loved the turmoil and internal battle of trying to do the right thing, only to be surprised of an unexpected betrayal.     April’s Ride with Stone is the perfect blend of action, drama, emotion, and slow burn romance! Addy is kind, whip-smart, funny, and has been secretly crushing on her dad’s best friend for many years. Stone is a gorgeous alpha male protector, best friend to the sheriff, and has been secretly crushing on the sheriff’s daughter for years. The chemistry between Stone and Addy is palpable, and I love how author Kaci Rose builds their relationship while also moving the overarching series plot forward with new and complicated twists. This was a fun and entertaining short read with complex characters and a beautiful setting. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. This Mustang Mountain MC book features Stone. He used to be a cop but switched to an MC that protects the town and tries to get rid is any illegal activity. The Savage Bones is their rival and want the Mustang’s territory. Armed with some evidence against the Savage Bones, Stone goes to his friend, the sheriff. The sheriff’s daughter, Addy answers the door and Stone has to keep reminding himself that he is older than Addy and her dad is his friend. Realizing that the sheriff is compromised, Stone takes Addy so he can protect her. While together, both come to see that they both have feelings for each other. There is quite a bit of twists that keep your attention while reading this book! I was so invested in this book that I had to finish it as soon as possible.
