The world is far too complex to be comprehended by any given mind. Visions are like maps that help us navigate through it. They have to leave out many concrete details in order to enable us to focus on a few key paths toward our goals.

A vision is a sense of causation. It is more like a hunch or a gut feeling than it is like an exercise in logic or factual verification. It is based on implicit premises about how the world works that a person has, and these premises must be examined and questioned to see if they are correct.
