Description

A stand alone enemies-to-lovers romance from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde…

Court Kensington is a thorn in my side.

I’m hired to clean up his badboy image, which would’ve been easy if my life wasn’t falling apart.

First, I catch my movie star husband having an affair with his co-star. Then when I dump him and return to work, my job is at stake. Court has gotten himself into trouble...again.

Instead of getting him back in line, I find myself falling for his charm. And into his bed. And against the wall. And, and, and…

Except Kensington charm shouldn’t work on me. Not when I’ve sworn to never ever sleep with a client.

I had good intentions.
I really did.
But we all know the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

A good book the only issue that I noticed was some grammatical mistakes which didn’t stop me from reading.

it was a good book overall and the sex scenes were good, just a bit slow and tiresome to read

I really wanted to fall in love with Court and English but there was just no spark. This book felt flat. I was so intrigued by Penn’s insanely hot, messed up, bad boy brother, but he and Anna just felt boring. I don’t know where this book went wrong but it was not a page turner for me.

I seriously love this world, and this crew. I could read about them forever! This is one of my favorite kinds of books, enemies to lovers. If you've read anything from K.A. Linde, then you know she can bring the angst. This book is full of it, along with so much steam. English is the boss! Seriously. She's the best. And Court is so much more than we've been led to believe. Gah! I loved him before, and I loooooooooove him now! He's everything. They're everything. This book is everything. This series is everything. And I cannot wait for the next installment.

4 stars for - Hating Season - the second book in the Seasons series by K.A. Linde. This book can be read as a complete standalone with almost zero spoilers from the other books involving previous characters so feel free to dive right in. We are back in New York where the uber rich and privileged live and play. Anna English is only working in New York temporarily for her “problem child” client and will be heading back home to California as soon as the elections are over in November. She loves her life - working for a top PR firm and married to one of Hollywood’s leading actors until a trip to see him onset changes everything. English has tough decisions to make in regards to her marriage and heads back to New York to deal with the other man in her life that seems to keep her up at nights too. Court Kennsington never cared what anyone thought about him so he never corrected their assumptions when it came to his playboy ways. Spending the last six months working with English made him hope she saw him differently than all the other people in his life but it’s not looking too good. He feels things for her he’s never felt before but they are just a rebound thing...right? This was a sexy, sweet and scorching hot romance with the perfect amount of angst thrown in too. I devoured this book in one sitting is was such an easy read. I am absolutely loving the little bits being dropped here and there about Katherine and Camden too. Can’t wait to read all about those two next!

I am one for any and all enemies to lovers stories! I couldn't put this book down and read straight through. Both English & Court were slightly explosive. English is a smart, no-nonsense and stubborn firecracker. Court is an entitled playboy that turns out to be a gentleman with a huge heart. Something English never expected. They both have their hearts broken and find themselves in a complicated situation. The twists and turns will tug at your heart. Who knew that Court might be exactly what English needs. There are moments where the Crew will pop up and add a little fun and excitement for these two. I was not expecting to fall in love with these characters so quickly. I cannot wait for the next book. The one I have been waiting for. Katherine & Camden!

5-stars isn’t enough for The Hating Season. We’ve got to know Court as the spoiled, rich, Upper East Side playboy. He doesn’t give any thoughts to the women he sleeps with, the alcohol he drinks, or what people think about him. Now, let’s throw in a PR agent that is supposed keep him out of trouble, out of the spotlight, and to help him put on a good front for his mothers re-election campaign. Enter, English, Court Kensington’s worst nightmare or so he thinks. English is here for one thing and only one thing, but she gets way more than she bargained for with Court. Before long they are butting heads, fighting, and....... Love, Love, the real Court that we get to know and how English handles him.

The Hating Season by K.A. Linde is the second interconnected standalone story in her Seasons series. A story of enemies to lovers, workplace romance, inappropriate relations, and love winning over all. Told in dual POV between the powerful and confident Anna English, publicist extraordinaire to the stars and Court Kensington, the bad-boy son of Mayor Kensington who is up for re-election and needs his image cleaned up, STAT! The power play between Anna and Court is hilarious, each trying to out-maneuver the other, with Court realizing the adverse effects of his worst behavior and with Anna's help, learning to tone it down and make more of himself. It's also a story of self-discovery for them both. Anna with her recent relationship woes, and Court with his parental issues and the tendency to resort to bad boy / playboy /rich boy when cornered. Also setting up the future story for some of the Upper East Side Elite, this series is enticing, rich with emotion, powerful chemistry and some great writing. Enjoy!

I really enjoyed Anna (English) and court’s story. Although we’ve had glimpses of them in the other characters stories, this book is all about them. I will say Anna was exactly what I expected, strong, steady and sassy which she has to be in her career. Court was so much more than the bad boy, and I loved getting to know his character better. All in all another great book in this series!
