This whole series kept me on my toes. I felt the love, the jealousy, the anger, the disappointment, and the togetherness of each and every character. Perfectly executed. Will read again I’m sure lol and I will be recommending it to family and friends.

This was in my opinion the perfect ending to this love journey. Penn is totally swoon worthy and you just can’t help but root for this couple to find their happily ever after! So good beginning to end!

    O. M. G. She saved the best for last!!! This journey with Natalie has been awesome but this ending was AMAZING! I cheered Natalie on through this whole book. There were a lot of 'OMG' moments thrown in with a lot of 'You Go Girl'! Seriously awesome trilogy and this was the icing on top!
  • Fantastic finish to an awesome trilogy

This is the final book in the Cruel trilogy. Cruel Legacy starts where Cruel Fortune leaves off. This is not a standalone book. If you have not read the first two books, you will be totally lost. Cruel Legacy begins with Natalie really wanting to get back at everyone. Natalie has nothing else to lose. With her career now left in ruins, Natalie is out for vengeance. I really enjoyed reading Penn and Natalie’s story come full circle. K.A. Linde really blows it out of the water with the final story in this series. I didn’t know what to expect going into this series, but OMG I loved every minute of it. The angst, the twists, the turns, the sexy parts, ALL so good.

What an ending! This book was really good, for Natalie she got the revenge she thought she needed and it made me fall even more in love with penn. I felt like the ending was a bit rushed but it everything was perfectly tied up in the epilogue. Overall it was a great ending to one of my favorite series. Looking forward to lark’s story!

If you were worried about Penn and Natalie at the end of Cruel Fortune, you should know that K A Linde doesn’t take her foot off of that gas pedal in this conclusion to her Cruel series. Penn has grown throughout the three books. He learns from his mistakes, he strives to be a good man, and he wants to both deserve Natalie’s love and be someone she deserves in return. It isn’t always easy for him; selfishness and ruthlessness are ingrained in him, after all. They are the two emotions he knows best. But Linde left him on the right path in Cruel Fortune, and she keeps him focused in this book. The problem is Natalie. Alexandre Dumas’s The Count of Monte Cristo heavily influences Cruel Legacy, with Natalie taking the role of Edmond Dantes, the character out for revenge. So focused is Natalie on vengeance that she risks losing the very humanity that attracted Penn. There are times when you will be terrified for her, wondering if she will forget who she is. The good news is that she and Penn are together in this book, although not necessarily as a couple. They may have the same goals, but their ways of reaching those goals diverge. The supporting cast steps forward. We have a chapter from Katherine’s POV, as Linde continues to flesh out Natalie’s nemesis. We also get to know Lewis better, as well as Jane and Lark. Natalie learns who to trust and who to keep at a distance, and sometimes those lessons are painful. The big question Linde, much like Edmond Dantes, is whether revenge is worth it. When is enough enough? When can you go too far? And how do you stop from losing who you are in the process? You will read parts of this book with your stomach doing flip brought on by nerves and other parts with those flips brought on by arousal. The sexy times are FANTASTIC. K A Linde infuses intimacy with tension, making you both swoon and scream. This is my favorite K A Linde trilogy. I love its gleeful deviousness, its emotion, its passion, and its characters. She lands a perfect ending with Cruel Legacy, although I am going to miss Penn terribly. Hit up the comments and let me know what you think of Penn, Natalie, and the crew.

3.5 stars for - Cruel Legacy - book three in the Cruel series by K.A. Linde. This is technically the fourth book featuring these characters and they need to be read in order of release. This one picks up right after Natalie vows to make those who wronged her pay for all they’ve done. In true Upper East side fashion she does it in designer couture and rocking a pair of Louboutin heels. Natalie learned from the best how to play the game and they won’t know what hit them when she gets through with them. While I liked books one and two this one was not my favorite of the bunch and seemed to leave me wanting more for Nat and Pen as a couple. I’m guessing there will be more books for this series in the future therefore any questions pertaining to the Crew weren’t addressed at all. Yes, I would recommend the series but with the disclaimer that all your questions won’t be answered in the end.
