Description

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • MacKayla Lane and Jericho Barrons return in the epic conclusion to the pulse-pounding Fever series, where a world thrown into chaos grows more treacherous at every turn.

As Mac, Barrons, Ryodan, and Jada struggle to restore control, enemies become allies, right and wrong cease to exist, and the lines between life and death, lust and love, disappear completely. Black holes loom menacingly over Dublin, threatening to destroy the earth, yet the greatest danger is the one MacKayla Lane has unleashed from within: The Sinsar Dubh—a sentient book of unthinkable evil—has possessed her body and will stop at nothing in its insatiable quest for power.

The fate of Man and Fae rests on destroying the book and recovering the long-lost Song of Making, the sole magic that can repair the fragile fabric of the earth. But to achieve these aims, sidhe-seers, the Nine, Seelie, and Unseelie must form unlikely alliances and make heart-wrenching choices. For Barrons and Jada, this means finding the Seelie queen, who alone can wield the mysterious song, negotiating with a lethal Unseelie prince hell-bent on ruling the Fae courts, and figuring out how to destroy the Sinsar Dubh while keeping Mac alive.

This time, there’s no gain without sacrifice, no pursuit without risk, no victory without irrevocable loss. In the battle for Mac’s soul, every decision exacts a tremendous price.

I cried, I laughed so many emotions. I loved the characters and the storyline. Sorry the series ended. But all good things must come to an end. Thanks Karen for an all inspirational set of books.

This series is by far the best I have read in a very long time. It is worth your time and money to read these books. The Fever Series has pretty much ruined all other books in this genre for me. While other books feel like I'm reading a really good outline, Ms. Moning's writing and attention to detail never left me with that impression.

I actually cried when I finished this series. I was so sad it had to come to an end,but what a great ending it was. I tried the fever series while waiting for the next outlander book, and I was instantly hooked. I can't wait to see what Karen Moning writes next !

  • Tear Jerker!

First, I don't want to give away anything so I think tear jerker is enough for me to say. The next, OMG, I find it quite poetic that I noticed the book read like a sonnet almost. It flowed almost as if the book self was singing to me and I in no way am exaggerating. I often times found myself rereading a part of the book because I was simply in awe of the words. My sister laughed at me when I mentioned this about the book because she too felt the same way but felt like I said it better. I agreed. Lol! This was my favorite book of the series, while it left us wanting to know more about the Dani/Jade + Ryodan, the nines and who they all are but then again that's probably one of life's mysteries. Dancer will always be my superhero! Finally, I've cried after reading some books and I've always recovered but I honestly was emotionally drained after this book. In a good old fashion 'We fight till the end" way. I recommend this entire series because it took me years to finally read what my sister accidentally happened upon and tried for years to get me to read, but I'm glad she did. It's been a hella ride with Barron's and Mac and I have been happy to be apart of it! Thank you Ms. Moning!
