Some heartfelt moments, but too much piss

As a long/time reader of Riordan’s work, I found this latest entry to be pretty weak in style and humor, but okay in theming, characters, and plot. I liked how Percy interacted with Grover and Annabeth, but it feels like Riordan has all but ignored all that they’ve been through practically, and how it would actually affect them. Percy should not be pissing himself during comparatively mundane situations, considering he’s literally been through Tartarus.
It is a great book

This was an amazing novel! I’ve been waiting for it for a year, and the wait was worth it. When the third senior year adventures book is out I’ll be sad to see my favorite trio go. This was a much-needed sequel to the chalice of the gods. Rick Riordan has the amazing ability as an author to manipulate words in a way that gives so many people around the world some stories that they can read into, escaping the real world and feeling as if they’re traveling on quests and adventures with their favorite characters/demigods themselves.

Thank you, Uncle Rick!

Been waiting all year for this! I didn’t know how much I missed Percy’s sarcastic narration till it was back! I have to admit, I was a little skeptical at the lack of world ending stakes in Chalice of the gods, but this book restored my faith in Rick Riordan. Can’t wait for book #3! 💜✨💖
