Description

Demigods Nico di Angelo and Will Solace must endure the terrors of Tartarus to rescue an old friend in this thrilling adventure co-written by New York Times #1 best-selling author Rick Riordan and award-winning author Mark Oshiro. Percy Jackson fans, rejoice! Nico and Will have a book of their own! As the son of Hades, Nico di Angelo has been through so much, from the premature deaths of his mother and sister, to being outed against his will, to losing his friend Jason during the trials of Apollo. But there is a ray of sunshine in his life--literally: his boyfriend, Will Solace, the son of Apollo. Together the two demigods can overcome any obstacle or foe. At least, that's been the case so far . . . Now Nico is being plagued by a voice calling out to him from Tartarus, the lowest part of the Underworld. He thinks he knows who it is: a reformed Titan named Bob whom Percy and Annabeth had to leave behind when they escaped Hades's realm. Nico's dreams and Rachel Dare's latest prophecy leave little doubt in Nico's mind that Bob is in some kind of trouble. Nico has to go on this quest, whether Mr. D and Chiron like it or not. And of course Will insists on coming with. But can a being made of light survive in the darkest part of the world? and what does the prophecy mean that Nico will have to "leave something of equal value behind?" Nico will have to face demons both internal and external as his relationship with Will is tested to the core in this standalone adventure featuring two of the most popular characters in the Percy Jackson saga. It was ok. It wasn’t really a book that I expected. It isn’t really that funny, as in like PJO humor, but there’s nothing wrong with it so I’m giving it 5. And I’m queer so yea

If you’re going to make a mean review, spell correctly. (ex Riordan fan) Other then that, it’s an amazing book, a must read for any PJO fan. And stop hating on Will and Neeks for being gay, they are perfect the way they are.

I got to Percy Jackson a couple of months ago but I can already tell that Nico and Will are my favorite characters. Both have exactly the opposite personality of each other what makes even more cute I love LBGTQ+ stories and a fantasy one is a first for me I love it and wish it could have more about them. Thank you very much for this amazing experience 🙏🏳️‍🌈

It is a really good read. And for the more younger crowd, it had a good amount of references and quotes we have seen in the past year. I love the dynamic of Will and Nico with their changes and growth only expanding on their characters. I don’t want to spoil anymore of the book but I do recommend reading it.

Be forewarned this is nothing but a gay teenage love story. It is not of the Percy Jackson mythos. The most recent PJ book is. This is not. After you purchase the book expecting another installment of Percy Jackson The forward reads essentially to all the gay teenagers. Spoiler the two guys crawl in bed together at the end of the book. This ain’t Percy Jackson. The author should give a disclaimer on the website so people don’t purchase it under false pretense. False marketing. Shame on you Riordan.
