It is a good book, but there were a ridiculous number of misspellings! I’m a retired English teacher, but even my students wouldn’t have this many very careless mistakes!!!

It was ok story, but typos and poor grammar were everywhere. Poor editing and proofreading.

The story was good, but I was so distracted by the typos I couldn’t enjoy it. I lost count of the number of errors I saw, everything from misspelled words to calling a main character Jack instead of Jake. Need to proofread!

It’d be so much better if somebody actually proofread the book. The number of mistakes on every page almost made me stop reading it. The plot itself was good though.

This must be the book with the most typos and misspelled words ever. So very annoying. The story was ok, I guess, but not good enough to make me wanna get the sequel…

Numerous, too many to recite, typos. It’s apparent no one read the manuscript before it was published. Very distracting. Won’t read any of her other books in this series. Also story was excessive in the references to her sister which was never developed in the book.

Eh. Entertaining read. I noticed some spelling errors in first few chapters. Being in law enforcement myself for over 20 years, I also noticed some missed opportunities when it came to the initial investigation. Keeping in mind that it is written about law enforcement by someone who is not in law enforcement, it was an entertaining read like I said.

I usually really enjoy this author’s books. However, there were SO MANY obvious typos that it distracted from the story. Hopefully this book just slipped through without a proofreader and that won’t be the norm.
  • 5 * for plot, but 2-3 * for proofreading

No complaints about the story itself, which held my attention and kept it. However, the many spelling and grammar mistakes were off-putting. For example, a sentence that referred to Jack by name and also used “she” to refer to him. Instead of “to the”, “tot he”. I’m unsure who edited this book, but these glaring issues shouldn’t have gotten through to a final draft and publishing.

I lost track of the number of typos and errors that distracted from the plot. It’s as if no one read this before it was published.
