Protecting Lila

Warren is a SEAL who has been sidelined to train upcoming SEALs. He is not happy and cannot wait to go back to active duty. That is, until he meets his neighbor, Lila. Both have an immediate connection but not wanting to start anything, Warren runs away. When he can’t stand it anymore, he finally asks Lila out. She is reluctant because of his reaction to their obvious chemistry, but he is able to convince her to go out with him. After some time together, Warren is called back to deploy. It is his choice. This was a great, short book! I loved reading it. Lila’s positive and honest words are eye-opening and refreshing. Warren is definitely a work in progress but is willing to learn! I loved Protecting Lila Book 1 of SEAL Team Alpha. Warren doesn’t want to be in Cali but he’s been assigned to Coronado. It’s temporary until he can get back on a SEAL team. That’s all he wants u til one look at Lila and his life changes. He tries to resist her because she’s not part of his plan. Lila knew the second she saw Warren they were meant to be together but he’s being hot and cold. She’s had enough drama in her life and puts him in his place. When Lila is in danger it makes Warren realize his mistakes and he corrects his behavior but when his deployment can change, will he choose Lila or being a SEAL? I loved this storyline and the characters. A little drama and lots of steamy scenes. I would definitely recommend this book and I can’t wait for more in the series.
