Description

He made a promise…and someone out there is about to discover what that means.

The front door hinges creaked, the faint sound traveling through the still night. Two more steps and I would've been inside the bathroom with the door closed because I'm an odd bird and even when home alone, I close the bathroom door.

Seconds later, and everything would've happened differently. Seconds later, and I'd be dead.

My brother trained me. Told me what to do if I was ever in danger. I'd thought he was paranoid, a side effect of his life in the military. Before the explosion, he left instructions.

I followed those instructions carefully, straight to his best friend's door. A man I haven't seen in ages. A man who didn't show to my brother's funeral. An ex SEAL I knew before his Navy days. A boy I crushed on back then, but now…it's a different era.

My sister is missing, and I need his help to find her. There's a chance the man who broke into my home succeeded in getting her. All my focus needs to be on finding her, but yet I'm growing closer to him. Who am I kidding? I'm crushing all over again.

When two killers find me, he's there to protect me. I don't know why they're coming for me, but it doesn't seem like they'll stop. How much can I let him risk? And how much can I?

Someone out there wants to take everything. But some things can't be taken.

Stolen Beauty is the first standalone romance in the Beauty trilogy and the fourth romantic suspense novel within the Arrow Tactical Series.  This steamy, suspenseful standalone romance is full of heat and mystery and can be read and enjoyed on its own.

My first time reading this author and yep I was hooked by the intense but beautiful story of Knox and Sage. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough with the intrigue, action and mystery. I enjoyed as their past relationship grew into more. Sage’s outlook on things was very thought provoking. I will go back and read the others in this series and look forward to the new. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I adore the Arrow gang and this series, but I really connected to Knox and Sage; this was the best book yet. While sister Sloane may be the brilliant scientist, Sage has more smarts, grit and intelligence by far. It takes a lot of guts to go to Knox when her life seems to be in danger, and to continually try to sacrifice yourself for others. I love this nurturing side of Knox. He’s unlike his counterparts at Arrow Tactical in that he’s still a protective alpha-type male, but is much less gruff and alpha hole-ish. I love that he falls first, as an adult, at least! It’s a slower burn but a very sexy one. I can’t say enough good things about Stolen Beauty!

There is not an Isobel Jolie book I don’t like and this one shows she just gets better with her characters and storyline. Sage has known Knox, her brother’s best friend, since she was little and always had a crush on him, but he pushed her away because she was too young. Years later, her brother has been missing, presumed dead, for 2 years and now her sister Sloan is missing from her job in the Cayman Islands. When there is a break in at her house, Sage does what her brother instructed her to do, take the bag he made for her and go to Knox for protection. She does and is doesn’t hesitate to do that along with the Arrow Tactical Security Group. I don’t want to give away any spoilers but as Knox works to find her sister the two of them are drawn closer and old feelings resurface. I love how Isobel brings past characters into her books, this could be read as a stand-alone but I would recommend starting with the first book of the series, you won’t be disappointed. Definitely a 5 ⭐️ read!

I loved this story. The characters were very dynamic and dimensional, I really cared what happened to them. The main story line is concluded, but there is an overarching mystery that I hope will be solved in the next book. I’m already awaiting the next in the series!
