Description

The huge sasquatch says I belong to him.

When I need a place to lie low for a while, my late grandfather’s mountain cabin seems like the perfect solution. That is, until I discover there are actual Sasquatches living in the forest. And my solar truck just broke down. Awesome.

My plans to hike back to civilization are thwarted by a huge man-beast named Gorran. He smells me, excitedly announces I’m ovulating, and carries me back to the cabin.

Apparently, he thinks we’re fated mates.

And he promises he’ll never let me go.

The second book in the Cascade Beasts series by Sue Mercury, this is Gorran and Cari's story. Cari is running for her life from some gangsters and heads to her family's cabin in the Cascades very close to Starblessed territory and soon finds out her grandfather's tales of Bigfoot are real. Gorran, a grieving Sasquatch, is intrigued by the lone human and their romance is, hummm, compelling. The characters are well written, Storyline fast paced, there is sizzle, steam, and action. Great second book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Gorran is still mourning the death of the woman he was courting when a human woman enters Starblessed territory and intrigues him with her cautious, loner, behavior. Cari makes a desperate break from society, and hopes with careful planning and rationing she can hold out until she has a solid plan for surviving… a Sasquatch coming to her rescue isn’t anywhere in her thinking, but sometimes you’ve just got to adapt. This done in one book is a charming story about characters trying to understand one another. First without direct communication, but the as they do start talking by actually listening and considering what they are saying. I loved when Cari applied our human thinking and beliefs to something Gorran wanted to do… and discovered in his world, there’s a reason to listen to his guidance. I was gifted with a copy of Savage Giant and chose to share my thoughts.
  • Steamy Sasquatch story

For those of you who like their romance with a lot of heat, a lot of heart, and a lot of hair - you've hit the jackpot here. Cari flees a Portland mob boss for her grandfather's Cascade mountain cabin, where she discovers that his tall tales of Bigfoot are more than local lore. Gorran is big, furry, alpha, and determined to woo and win her. Their snowbound courtship features a lot of natural elements that verge on the gross, but make the Bigfoot culture feel real, and it's a well-told tale for the monster fans among us. Gorran has been in mourning for his intended who was killed when a hovercraft crashed into their village killing many of his people. He has stayed in the forest in isolation trying to deal with his grief. Until one day he smells the sweetest smell he has ever smelled coming from a small female living in a cabin on the edge of the Montikaun’s land. Cari has been forced to work for a mob boss in Portland to pay off her father’s debt. She has four years left to work for him, if she lives that long. One night the compound is attacked and she runs for it! She goes to the one place she has always loved and felt safe, her grandfather’s cabin deep in the Cascade Mountains. What follows is a sweet and funny tale of Gorran’s attempts to court her from afar without revealing himself to her and her reaction when she finally figures out who has been stalking her! Don’t miss it!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
