Not good

From page one the book failed to grab me. It continuously falls into genre traps. So many cliches. So much telling rather than showing. Non stop internal monologues that only demonstrate the author’s lack of understanding regarding how men think. Nothing here is authentic or carefully observed. I understand it’s not literary fiction, but the bar has to be higher than this.

I fell in love with this series. Claudia did a great job on developing the characters and keep me in suspense with each book. Can’t wait for the last book in the series, hoping she combines all the kids in it.

I read the entire series from start to finish in ten days. I could not put them down. Fell in love with each of the brothers though each is decidedly different, each with their own stories and plenty of flaws. The dialogue is seamless and the family mystery slowly unfolds without an obvious ending. While meant to be fictional, the brothers and their insecurities and idiosyncrasies are so real there is something to be learned from each.

Another brother gets his story. I liked Daren “Dare” and Vance. They are definitely each other’s type. Did I mention they are opposites as well? But of course, they are packing some baggage.
Well written.
Recommend.

Oh my… I knew going into this book that I was going to be an emotional mess. As the last of the Aldridge Brothers stories, the letters alone were going to break my heart but with everything Vance went through up to this point I planned to shed more than a few tears.
Darren provides some much needed comic relief but he’s also got his own demons he’s overcoming. Vance is so much more than the scary soldier. I think every book in this series I’ve thought “this is my favorite” but this one is DEFINITELY my favorite. I’m obsessed with this family and I’m definitely going to miss them but I am excited to return to Baker’s Creek!

Yours To Keep (The Baker’s Creek Billionaire Brothers #6) is one of the most highly anticipated books on my TBR list and Claudia Burgoa didn’t disappoint. I loved all of the books in this series and I’ve been impatiently waiting for this one. My level of anxiousness was high because not only was I excited about finally reading the broody and sexy, Vance Aldridge’s book but I also needed answers about his dad, William Aldridge’s past. Also, why did he make all of his children move to Baker’s Creek and live in the Aldridge Mansion together? And what’s in the letters that he wrote to them? Well….not only did I get answers, but Ms. Burgoa gave me so much more along with a jaw dropping, unexpected plot twist!!
I’m head over heels in love with Vance and Darren. These two couldn’t be more opposite as Vance is ex army and a silent, reserved, brooding tough guy. While Darren is a neurosurgeon with a light hearted, funny, outgoing and flirtatious personality. However, they’re 100% meant to be together. They bring out the best in each other along with qualities they never knew they had. My heart swooned at their romantic gestures and their charming and endearing moments.
The hilarious banter not only between Vance and Darren but the Aldridge family and Darren’s family is quite entertaining and adds a lot to the storyline. The Aldridges have become like family to me as they are written with a lot of heart and you just can’t help but want to be a part of them. And what really touches me is the familial bond between them which is much much deeper now. That’s truly one of the best things about this series. And watching them fall in love has fulfilled me and brought a huge smile to my face.
Yours To Keep is an outstanding, feel good book that I devoured within a matter of hours. The storyline is concise, engaging, it’s executed beautifully with a cast of wonderful and well written characters who make a fantastic book even better. It’s definitely my favorite book in the series and one of my top favorite books of 2021.
