Description

Paranormal Shifter Military Special Ops Romance.

Captain Corbin Jones heads his own Paranormal Security and Intelligence Agency Special Ops team. He’s used to being in command. Used to having to make the tough calls. As a lion-shifter, he’s no stranger to fighting his primal instincts. He’s had them well in hand for most of his immortally long life—that is, until he catches a scent that sets his body on fire.

The scent of his mate.

Mae wasn’t looking for love and certainly didn’t want to go on a blind date. When she’s stood up and then ends up in the hands of the enemy, she’s not sure who to trust. Not even when the very same man she’s been fantasizing about is deposited next to her. Fate—and her own supernatural hormones—won’t be denied, and she finds she can’t control the desire burning through her. The only problem is, her fantasy man, the very man who came to rescue her, is now in the hands of the enemy as well.

Another action packed, edge of your seat storyline with wonderful characters. This is the fourth book in the PSI-OPS series and is about Captain Corbin and Mae. Corbin gets distracted and misses his blind date with Mae that his mother set up. There are consequences to his actions and now he has to get Mae back before she is lost forever. We get new characters, PSI-OPS is still dealing with The Corporation and their evil plans. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The books in this series are seriously some of the best action/romance books that I’ve read. Corbin is a Lion shifter who is used to being in charge, and after a blind date that didn’t happen, he finds out that the woman he was supposed to meet was kidnapped. Awful under any circumstances, but enough to send Corbin reeling when he realizes the woman, Mae, is not only his missed blind date, but his mate also. So much exciting action, laugh out loud hilarious scenes, and sizzling chemistry made even stronger due to also being paranormal in origin. Loved the introduction of some new characters that definitely piqued my interest. You can’t go wrong with this book, but I do recommend reading the series from the beginning if you want the full enjoyment experience. I can see this series going a lot of places, and I’m down for following I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Love the story of Corbin and Mae. I think it’s ironic that if Corbin had continued with his date to Mae then he would have kept her from being abducted. I love how Brad protected her to the best of his ability while being held captive himself. Love how Ezra broke cover to protect Mae.

This series has so many twist and turns that one can easily become confused. I don't feel the books in this series, and those related to it, can be read independently. Corbin is the boss and the one with the most control, so it was easy to figure out that his mating would not be easy. Mae, a virgin, is captured for mating. The initially implied, then confirmed connection between the centuries old Corbin and the 23 year old Mae as interesting. I did enjoy this book, just felt there was a large time and action gap between chapter one and two.
