    I downloaded this for the title alone. • Sugary sweet romance • Wolf and vampire • Pierced tattoo artist • Fated Mates • Devil cat The plot is easy enough: Marla escaped her Maker to forge her own tattoo business in a small town and somehow managed to adopt the monster of all cats. Unexpectedly, while on a business trip to find a B&B investment property, Grayson finds his mate. When Marla’s BFF calls and tells her she is in danger, Grayson offers to become her nightly bodyguard. There are some interesting quirks that are worth the read: • The thieving, scary cat • The counter guy who is everywhere • The donut shop witches • The uniquely named streets • The poop jokes. Yes, they are actually funny. • dancing body bags M/F Dual POV Good for a summer beach read.

    You’ve got to read the book to understand the review title. This book features a vampire tattooist and her shifter mate as they fight off peril from her past. There are a ton of puns and jokes in this book. I’m sure that I didn’t get all of them. This is a quick read and you’ll often find yourself laughing about the happenings in Forbidden!

    I really enjoyed this fun, flirty, and sexy shifter novella of Marla and Grayson’s romance. Marla owns the tattoo parlor in the quirky shifter friendly town of Forbidden. She is a vampire hiding out from her imprisoning sire. Grayson is a wolf shifter who has come to town to potentially invest in the local B&B. There is instant attraction between Marla and Grayson but there are obstacles to a relationship. To get to their HEA, Marla and Grayson will need to deal with living in different towns, prejudice against vampires, a potentially evil cat, and the potential danger from Marla’s evil sire. The story includes sweet moments, steamy scenes, light danger, loyal friends and family, difficult back stories, love, fated mates, and laughs. While short, the story also included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline. 3.5 stars. I am excited to read more in this series.

    I thought this seemed like a cute book by the blurb and I’d never read this author before, so I requested a copy. I am very happy I did. This is a cute, well-written paranormal romance with suspense elements that was a joy to read. Marla and Grayson are such a cute couple, and their journey to each other was fun and joyful. Add to that the suspense, the additional great characters, and the wonderful writing, I had an engaging time reading this first book in what seems to be a completely enthralling series. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

    This was a fun story to read. I enjoyed learning about vampires, although I did not like how the Collector acted. It was good to have Marla and Kelly work together to get themselves a better life. It was a quick read and had a bit of romance in it as well.
