Description

Her falling star turns out to be a crashing UFO…

Young widow Kevanne Girardi catches sight of a meteorite streaking across the sky and wishes for a good handyman to help make her rundown lavender farm a big success. Instead, she gets a shapeshifting alien who apparently has never seen a leaky faucet before. But his loving and noble spirit make him just the man to fix her wounded heart. He hasn’t promised her forever, but a girl can hope, can’t she? Maybe she’ll make another wish.

When his ship tumbles out of the sky and lands on Earth, Chameleon never expects to fall for a human woman. Unfortunately, he can’t stay. He made a mistake that led to the devastation of an entire planet, and now the survivors are depending on him to get them to safety. He must repair his ship and leave before the Xeno Consortium finds him and Earth becomes endangered, too. But oh, he wishes he could stay with Kevanne forever.

Can a wrinkle in fate make their wishes come true?

Chameleon is the sexy, heart-tugging first book of the Alien Castaways alien romance series.

I really, really wanted to like the story. Instead I found most of the characters interesting, except the main two Cam Leon and Kevanne. No world building, really. The relationship was believable. Kevanne’s past bored me after while. The story wrapped up pretty neatly in the end. Too neatly. Although I find Cam’s shipmates interesting, I'm not sure it’s enough to continue with the series. Oh, trigger. Kevanne’s ex was mentally and physically abusive. Described in detail.

This is the story of Chameleon an alien Xenos and Kevanne a human who witnessed the crashing of Chameleon’s ship that carried the survivors of Topians when their planet was destroyed by the Xenos . This is a very great story and needs to be read to understand all that had taken place . There are also books that can be read about others on the ship and their stories .

I enjoy slow burn HEAs, and this is one (not as slow as some, but not as fast as others). Once I got into it, it flew by. I think it’s a wonderful start to a new series. Kevanne and Cam both take the time to build trust with each other (they have to because of their backgrounds) and it is so sweet reading their interactions. I felt for Cam though not believing he was good enough, I wanted to shake him. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.

This is a great story! I love reading anything by Cara Bristol. I enjoyed the interactions between Kevanne and Chameleon. Chameleon is a Xeno who chose to go against his people. He tried to save as many 'Topia citizens before the Xenos destroy the planet. He is part of a group of castaways who have made their way to Earth. Kevanne is determined to make a go at a Lavender Farm. She hasn't had a great life but she is working through it. She meets Chameleon when he disguised himself as a human. He needs to make money to buy supplies for repairs to the ship. But he has a hard time of keeping his disguised around her. There is something about her that draws him. Will they realize that they are mates and have a chance at happiness? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A woman whose curiosity will not quit. An alien shape-shifter stranded on Earth. She needs someone to trust, someone who will stay. He and his crewmates need to remain hidden until they can repair their spacecraft and leave. Author Cara Bristol brings the Inter Galactic Dating Agency into the story, and then EVERYTHING changes... Bristol's warm and understated style gives us a new wrinkle in the stranded alien lover trope, and a romance that gives readers, as well as her characters, all the love and hope and HEA anyone could want. Read this, and put a smile in your heart. This is a voluntary ARC review.

Blending into his environment is what this alien is good at, well until he meets his mate. The author started this new series off with a bang. I love how the characters are developing and the way they seem so real with their personalities and emotions. Both of these characters didn’t get what they expected from the past, but once they get past the pain they might just find the HEA they are destined for. I love the action and danger, the intensity of emotion, and the hope for the future for all of the crew mates. I can’t wait to read the next book and see who finds their mate next.

I love the idea of a chameleon: able to change into another being if you’ve seen it before, or just to blend in with your surroundings. This is just one of the fascinating crew in the first book of the “Alien Castaways” series. I love this story! Cam is a hero who doesn’t consider himself to be one. Kevanne is a woman on her own, getting her life back in order. She’s strong, resilient, and has come a long way in a short time, after having her confidence whittled away for years. I can’t wait for you to read their story: the history, current events, the newfound love...it’s awesome!
