Description

He has wings, but this alien is no angel…

Traumatized by the deaths of his family and the destruction of his planet, Wingman lands on Earth in search of a haven and the solitude to nurse his emotional wounds. When a chance decision foils a kidnapping, he’s drawn into the life of a young widow and her daughter. He’s shocked to discover the human woman is his genmate, the one he’s genetically bonded to.

To escape a stalker, Delia and her imaginative, impressionable daughter flee to a small town where nobody can find them. She’s concerned, but not overly so, when her daughter says she invited an angel to her birthday party.

Then the winged alien shows up, and all heck breaks loose. After a rocky first encounter, Delia begins to see Wingman for what he really is—a wounded hero, one of the most protective, sexiest men she’s ever met.

As passion deepens their bond, past dangers resurface to threaten Delia and her child. Will Wingman be able to confront his demons to make the sacrifice necessary to protect them?

Precocious child, a puppy, wings, a perfect storm of cute without being overly sweet. I enjoyed this summer read.

This is book 2 of the Alien Castaways and tells the story of Wingman from the destroyed planet of Topia and everyone on the planet . Wingman and 6 others landed on earth when their ship was damaged . This is Wingman finding his genmate Delia and her daughter Izzy. This is a great story of these aliens and what each went through but have ended up as such close friends and would do anything to help each other.

I loved this latest story by Cara Bristol. This is the second book in her Alien Castaway series and I can't wait to read the rest of them. This is Wingman's chance to find love. Wingman is on Earth with some others from his planet trying to keep a low profile. He has lost everyone he knows when his planet was destroyed. He meets Delia's daughter one day and saves her. Delia doesn't believe in her daughter 'angel.' Wingman is drawn into their lives. Delia and Wingman start spending more time together before her past comes back to haunt her. Will they find their happily ever after? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
  • Wings make him an Angel

Wingman is an alien attempting to assimilate into life on Earth. Kinda hard when he has wings - until a little girl with a big imagination calls him her Angel. Nothing gets a mom's attention like her daughter claiming she has invited an Angel to her birthday party. Nothing keeps a woman's attention like a hot, winged alien hunk with protective streak... AFTER she's over the whole alien/wings part. Its a sweet, spicy feel-good alien romance that left me with warm fuzzies and a big smile. This is a voluntary ARC review.

When your six-year-old says she invited an Angel to her birthday party, you don’t actually expect a man with wings to show up, especially when said child has two imaginary friends, but Delia should know, with a daughter like hers, you’ve got to pay attention to the details. Wingman is positively charming, from the moment he first interacts with six-year-old Izzy, he’s a heart-melter, a man who respects others, and their boundaries, yet will not sit idly by while an innocent is harmed. This done in one quick read was loads of fun, the sense of humor is captivating, the plot is a page turner, with hints and clues gently laid out as the author plays fair leading up to the ultimate events of the story, in a well crafted, dang it, whodunnit. (Yeah, I thought so, but only because the author carefully crafted the story to help keep me on track.) I haven’t read the previous story, and as such, feel this is a solid stand alone story. Wingman gets a wrong impression about Delia when he first meets her daughter, Izzie. When he is introduced to Delia, he realizes nothing could be further from the truth. He soon realizes she is his genmate - the one perfectly matched to him. Inquisitive, rambunctious, little girls add an interesting fillip to a new romantic interest. Just when I thought it was safe, some bad things begin to happen. I do love a hero! Wingman fits the mold. Overall, a very exciting story encompassing a sweet romance.
