Description

Robert McClellan was forced to serve as a soldier in a war he didn’t understand. Liberated by McKay-Taggart, he struggles every day to reclaim the life he lost and do right by the men he calls his brothers, The Lost Boys. Only one thing is more important – Ariel Adisa. The gorgeous psychologist has plagued his dreams since the day they met. Even as their mission pushes him to his limits, he can’t stop thinking about taking his shot at finding a life beyond all this with her.

Ariel Adisa is a force to be reckoned with. Her performance in Toronto proved she’s more than just a brilliant mind, but Robert still acts as if she is a wilting flower who needs his protection. Joining him on the mission to Munich should be the perfect opportunity to test their skills and cement their relationship. She and Robert are an excellent match. But when a stunning secret from Robert’s past is revealed, their world is turned upside down and nothing will ever be the same again.

While they chase dark secrets across Europe, Robert and Ariel realize that the only thing worse than not knowing who you are could be discovering who you used to be...

“Time is a funny thing. We always think we have time, and then we open our eyes and wonder where it all went.” Kim to Ariel Lost in You  Kindle Loc. 201 This is what I look for in Lexi Blake’s stories—the hidden wisdom (an Easter egg if you will)—spoken through the character, but meant for the reader. Sighs. Lost in You is the third installment of Lexi Blake’s The Forgotten series and focuses on Lost Boy Robert McClellan and the love story between him and psychotherapist Ariel Adisa. As with all of the books in this series, it is not a standalone. Any reader new to the series is well advised to read (at the very least) the two prior The Forgotten novels. I’ve read all of Lexi’s fabulous Masters & Mercenaries series, and even with all that, it took me a good thirty percent of the book before I could settle in and just read the story. And this story is one great ride! Both Robert and Ariel are well-written—the reader gets into their heads quickly. The story is full of action and packed with some serious espionage thrill. Characters from Dallas and London return to aid Robert and Adisa, and finally, one huge secret is revealed (my lips are sealed). My only disappointment is the way it ended—without spoiling, let me say that I felt there was more to Robert’s story that should have played out in this book.  Lexi Blake fans will love this installment. I certainly did. Four Stars

Perfect blend of a sexy and sultry romance with suspense and intrigue. The Lost Boys are struggling to find their identities and the last mission sends them to Germany which opens up new information and memories. Ariel and Robert are finally acknowledging the attraction for each other and allow themselves to fully indulge at a German BDSM club. Just when you think these two are on the road to happiness in their personal lives, new challenges are delivered which puts the team to the test. I love the layers of intrigue in this story that had me guessing how it would unfold. I was never right. The sex scenes with Ariel and Robert are intense yet thoughtful and compelling as these two individuals truly open up to each other. There is so much to enjoy in this story but I don’t want to give away too much. It was something that definitely grabbed me from the start and kept me page turning to the end. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
