Description

A high school reunion is about to get down and dirty and a whole lot more complicated in this new romance from USA Today bestselling author Avery Flynn.

Brains and a badass attitude. That’s all troublemaker Leah Camacho took with her when she left Catfish Creek. She’d promised herself she’d never go back, but when the invite to her tenth high school reunion arrived along with the chance to show everyone who doubted her what a success she’s made of herself, she couldn’t resist. However, when she discovers a 15-carat, stolen diamond in her rental car’s glove box, there’s only one man she can turn to for help—the same sexy, stubborn domineering man who’d smashed her heart all those years ago.

Sheriff Drew Jackson knew a long time ago that Leah Camacho was nothing but trouble and has sworn to never get caught up in her again—no matter how damn sexy she is or how badly he’d failed to forget her. But, when the woman who test drove his heart right into a concrete wall rolls into Catfish Creek with some serious bad guys on her tail, it’s up to him to keep her safe—even if that means guarding her hot bod 24/7 without giving into temptation or losing his mind.

3.5 Stars - Oh, my! Once again Avery Flynn delivers the sass, snark, spark, and suspense! Leah and Drew were all sorts of fun together, from the moment Leah comes rolling back into town right through the high school reunion. There’s danger, a bit of mystery, and all sorts of heat between these two that kept the pages turning and had me smiling, laughing, and fanning myself all the way through. I really loved the tie-in to the author’s B-Squad series. Leah is the sister of Isaac, who I just loved in “Bang”, and there was no mistaking the family ties between these two – loyal, feisty, fierce, and a bit rough around the edges. The B-Squad characters are quite the crew and added to the fun in this one! Trouble was a quick read that was fast-paced and fun and has me looking forward to reading the other books in this series. My only complaint was that it stopped a bit short for me, as often happens with novellas. If you are looking for a fun read that has lots of laughs and a good dose of heat, you really can’t go wrong with an Avery Flynn novel! I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book I received from the author.

Exciting edge of your set thrills, a hint of danger and a lot of emotional turns in this highly entertaining short Romantic adventure that sizzles till the very end. Leah Camacho is my hero ... loved her so much, wicked smart, sassy wild and sweetly vulnerable on rare occasions. Sheriff Drew Jackson is hot as all get out, charming, alpha male bad boy and has a hidden sweet side. Sparks are reigniting for this explosive couple as they are thrown together in a high risk situation by fate and their own stubbornness. Devoured in a few short hours but loved every minute of it. Looking forward to the rest of the reunion.

A high school reunion has folks coming home to Catfish Creek who swore they would never return. Leah Camacho is one of those people. Yet the opportunity to show everyone that she's a success is too hard to resist. Always known as the town troublemaker it seems nothing much has changed when Leah finds herself in the middle of an FBI investigation and hiding out in the home of her high school love. It's all just too much. Or maybe just right. Quick fun read that I highly recommend.

This was a fantastic second chance story with great chemistry and suspense and intrigue. There was a great storyline with Leah Camacho going back to her home town and high school reunion to prove to everyone that she made it and isn't just a trouble maker. But as soon as she makes it to town and runs into Drew Jackson trouble does follow. These two are great together and you also get to see cameos of the B squad and that is always fun. Avery Flynn has again wrote a book that you don't want to put down. This is another hit.
