Description

Tucker Jenkins has had enough of tall buildings, traffic, and business meetings to determine the next app that will change the world. He's sold his technology firm for billions and traded it for Steeple Ridge Horse Farm in rural Vermont.

Missy Marino has worked at the boarding stable and farm since she was a teen, and she's always dreamed of owning it. But her ex-husband left her with a truckload of debt, making her fantasies of owning the farm unfulfilled.

When she meets Tucker, she starts having a new kind of fantasy—one where they work with the horses together. Tucker didn't come to the country to find a new wife, but he supposes a woman could help him start over in Steeple Ridge. Will Tucker and Missy be able to navigate the shaky ground between them to find a new beginning?

Missy and Tucker may seem like they are from two different worlds but they both just want the same thing: love; companionship; honesty; someone who will stand by you and do the right thing. They have both been burned by bad marriages and don't think they have it in them to try again. This love story shows how overcoming obstacles is easier when you find the right one and learn to trust yourself and them. Very sweet read. I love Liz Isaacson books because of the genuine characters and the clean sweet love stories, this book is all that and more.

Tucker Jenkins decides to step away from his business and city life where people only want to be with him because of his money. Therefore, he seeks out a slower, small town pace and buys a horse farm in rural Vermont. But, will he honestly be able to leave it all behind? Or will his fears over being judged for his money continue to haunt him? Missy Marino is the horse trainer and stable manager of the horse farm Tucker purchases. But, what he doesn't know is that she has dreamed for years of owning it. Unfortunately, a failed marriage snuffed those dreams out and left her with a mountain of debt. Even though she tries not to show bitterness and anger, it leaks out when Tucker reveals exactly how wealthy he is. Will their hopes of being together evaporate? I honestly liked this story. It has an excellent foundation in Christian values and faith in God. Forgiveness, gratitude, and trust are major themes. Will Tucker and Missy allow God to handle their dreams in life? Are they willing to trust God? Romance - PG - some kisses Language - Clean My rating - 5 stars

STARTING OVER AT STEEPLE RIDGE by Liz Isaacson, Elana Johnson. Another in the Timeless Romance Single. Tucker traded his high tech firm for a horse farm in Vermont. Which has been the dream of Missy having worked with horses. But one ex husband, and his debts ended that. The farm has been sold, that she thought she might owned, and the new owner would need help. He hadn't even seen the place, and the 33 horses there. She asked,"if he'd like a tour,..he bought a place in town, so wouldn't be using the house. Missy had a one year contract to stay on as manager, what has she gotten into. For Tucker, he had never ridden a horse, he was the type to figure things out after. She loved teasing him, to get closer to the horses, saying they won't bite, when he backs up from them. He needs proper clothes, she invites him to parents house for dinner. An Italian family, lots of people, cousins and noise, for a man who didn't have. The change in him, and the laughter, of him learning about horses, is a delight. The book is a warm, healing for the two of them, in choosing the right mate. And working at something they both love. A great read for all ages. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
  • A sweet, clean romance

It's hard to go wrong when you read anything in the Timeless Romance Series. The books are clean and romantic and (dare I say this?) more importantly, well-edited. This novella tells the story of two people who fall in love while working a horse ranch. Even if you are a city girl and don't know much about horses, you'll enjoy this book. There's some good angst and some good interaction with other people. Horses are there, but they don't take over the story. Overall, a quick, enjoyable read!
