Description

Money, power, prestige…legacy

I was born for this. I make it look easy. I know because everyone tells me so constantly. I can’t bear to tell them my secret. I’m failing.

The youngest Coulter, the baby of the family, and also the shame of it if they find out I can’t hack it.

There’s a single chance left to pull this out, except of course the one girl on campus who can best tutor me is the one girl who can’t stand me… lucky for me she’s in need of a fake boyfriend.

Becker has her own last name to weigh her down, her own family expectations, and her own secrets. Our relationship might be fake, but my fascination is real. She doesn’t just make me want to be better, I am with her. As though she cares.

It might be crazy, but if there’s any hope for me, I’ve got to shoot my shot with her.

This was another fabulous book in this series! I really love Gage and Becker. Them as individuals are amazing and together their chemistry is off the charts. I love that the Coulter siblings all came back to make an appearance in this book and I love that I finally saw a better side of the Coulter parents. I highly recommend reading this book, I couldn't put it down!!!

Gage is the youngest coulter and trying to go to school, play basketball to follow in all of his families footsteps, deal with his fathers illness and the family scandal about ransom. Gage's grades start to show the stress he is under so he needs a tutor where is how he meets Becker "Becks" Johnson. To watch these two meet and get to know each other and help each other is great. Nana Malone again keeps you wanting more of this series by keeping all the other family members in the story. You are rooting for Gage and Beck.

This book was a cute teenage love affair. The ball player and the "geek"? Romance novels are grown up fairy tales and I am so here for this one. These two get together and make each other stronger. Good story, good characters, good read.

Is it possible to fall more in love with a series, the answer is just one word, Gage. As the youngest Colter he has a lot to prove and the responsibilities he has to deal with weight so much on him that he can't see what he really needs to do. Following his father's footsteps in basketball he fells he has to be the best basketball player, student, brother, and son, but as a freshman in College adjusting will prove to be a greater challenge than he understand or can deal with by himself, specially if he wants to play in the team. Failure in College or even the possibility of not playing is not an option that Gage can accepts and he will do anything he cans to succeed, even if he has to ask help. Becker is focus on what she wants and has worked very hard to get it, but studying is not all you have to do to qualify for the most prestigious internship, specially if you are a freshmen in College. Becker will find herself tutoring the guy she can't get out of her head. A surprising and interesting relationship develops from this tutoring, an opportunity that Gage will use to get what he really needs, Becks. Gage & Becks story is very sweet, full of surprises, fun, romance, love, and passion. Love this series, each Coulter is so different and they make you fall in love with the whole family, it is great to see them all together,

Love this! Gage is a great character and so is Becks. They both have family pressure to deal with. All the players have their own unique story but I think this is one of the more emotional ones. What make this player different from all the others is how he takes patience and compassion to a whole new level. There's intrigue, family drama and everlasting love in the mix. Beck's fathers behavior is appalling, I wanted to reach into the pages and smack him. Gage grandfather attitude hasn't improved. I felt sorry for the Coulter's as they deal with their father's sickness. Glad author can include previous characters without them overtaking the story. Gage isn't perfect but he is super sexy without being cocky or conceited. Anxiously awaiting to read the next one in the excellent series.

This one brought me back to those good ole college days. On top of all the pressure you have just being a new college student, both Becker (Love this name by the way) and Gage have family issues. Becker is also trying to cope with a serious attack and a stalker that continues to stick around at her father's request. Crazy much.. we do get a little more incite as to when Gramps had his daughter but of course he is still in denial. It seems that this is the last book in the series but I am hoping that it is not. I really enjoyed reading about the infamous Coulters.

Gage came from a long line of extraordinaire athletes and was expected to carry the family's legacy. Becker was a very studious child that lost her mother at a young age and never knew how to bond with her father. Gage accumulated so much stress that his grades were tanking (legacy in danger). Becker was always conforming to her father's demands and dated an ......... Becker encountered Gage receiving ....... from her hiding spot in the restroom. Gage rescued Becker from an insensitive ....... becoming her boyfriend (pretend). Can you say pretend when there are actual sparks erupting? Can you continue to conform to other(s) wishes when it causes you so much anguish? Ok, time to reread the series from the beginning and indulge in the athletes and their feisty heroines. Great Read!

This is the 6th book in Nana Malone's Player series and tells the story of the youngest Coulter sibling Gage. Gage is a college basketball player who definitely feels the pressure of the Coulter name but doesn't want to make waves or disappoint anyone because of everything the family has going on. When his grades fall and he's faced with the possibility of losing his eligibility to play basketball he decides to fix that on his own and gets a tutor in the form of a very unexcited Becker. Becker is all about her grades and getting a prestigious internship and only agrees to tutor him to help with that goal. Gage immediately wants Becker but she doesn't see herself as enough to interest a guy like Gage. These two can't deny or fight their attraction though and eventually see that they're much better together as an official couple instead of the pretend one they initially agreed to (you have to read the book to find out more on that). This was a sweet story about first love, finding one's self, and standing up for what you want. These two both had their issues and pressures but in the end were there for each other to find their HEA doing what made them happy. Overall, a good read by Nana Malone.
