Description

Who knew a sweaty photo would be good for business?

Now, unwanted booty calls are coming in as fast as work orders, and Liam Chase needs to get away. Cue a job upstate. His new client is hot as hell, but he left NYC to escape attention, not to hook up with the city’s “runaway bride.”

With three disastrous relationships under her belt, it’s clear Claire Stevens’s judgment sucks. And what she’s feeling for America’s newest sex god? Obviously another hormone-fueled mistake.

But when she accidentally fells a tree on his truck, leaving them stranded in a winter storm with a chocolate-snatching raccoon, there’s something to be said for body heat.

Too bad neither can trust their explosive chemistry…

Each book in the Chase Brothers series is STANDALONE:
* Five Things I Love About You
* For Seven Nights Only
* The Three-Week Arrangement
* The 48-Hour Hookup
* One Sexy Mistake

    A really feel good book with some of the best and funniest scenes. I laughed so hard at the horse & sleigh chapter I had to take a break to catch my breath and wipe laughing tears from my eyes.

    A must read if you're looking for a fun, sexy read! I was smiling the entire time, except of course for the parts where Liam was incredibly stubborn and stupid. But he was also super sweet and did this for Claire that showed he really cared even though it was only supposed to be a casual fling. And I can't forget about their pet raccoon - he was a cute addition to the family! I've really enjoyed this series and I'm sad to see it end. I received an ARC via NetGalley for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, all conclusions are my own.

    Liam has had it up to well, over his head with all the notoriety of his new fame as the Hot HVAC Guy, all because of a sweaty picture of him that's gone viral. He hasn't had a moments rest for six weeks now, time to move on people and leave him alone. His brother Sawyer gives him the opportunity to go on an overnight estimate call in the mountains. The client thinks her local HVAC shop is gouging her because they're in a small town, so she wants an estimate to find out. As if he cannot catch a break, as soon as he gets to the lodge, the owner, who is none other than Claire Stevens (aka the Runaway-Bride), drops a freshly cut tree across the hood of his brand new truck. Now he's stuck until repairs can be made to it. When Sawyer hears about it, he bets Liam he couldn't get her to have one date with him after being stuck together 48-hours on the mountain. After running away from the altar from a jerk that she caught in the broom closet with part of the catering staff, Claire is nicknamed the Runaway-Bride. To which her boss loved since she's a news reporter, however after running out on a second louse who was just using her to further his own career in television, her boss was no longer impressed. The most recent guy she broke it off with openly bragged in his blog that he was dating —New York City’s infamous Runaway Bride, and now he has a book deal selling everything she told him in private. She is SO DONE with men! When she called Fusion Air to get an estimate on her furnace, she expected an older guy to come out to do the estimate, not a young, hot guy who just happens to be THE Hot HVAC guy. And now that she dropped a tree on his truck he's stranded. With the storm brewing she headed down the mountain to get supplies and drop him in town, only to be blocked by a tree across the road. Now they're stuck on the mountain together. Claire didn't know how she could be stuck on the mountain with him without making a fool out of herself. She had already had sex dreams about Liam Chase, the Hot HVAC guy, HOW was she going to make it through the night with them stuck together at the lodge? He was the only guy she'd wanted in months, he was supposed to stay in her dreams, not right in front of her! What are Liam and Claire going to do? It's obvious they're attracted to each other, and neither wants to mention their issues with the press. Will they leave what happens on the mountain actually on the mountain, or will they bring it to the city? I absolutely love this romantic comedy, it has some pretty hilarious parts as well as some pretty seriously heavy ones. Sarah Ballance has written a very well rounded story. It's the first of her books I've read as well as the first of The Chase Brother series- and he's the youngest, but it won't be the last. I just bought the first 3 so I can read Crosby, Sawyer and Ethan's stories as well, I look forward to getting to know the back story of each brother and the Chase family. I received an ARC copy via IndieSage in exchange for a blog tour review. Due to sexual situations, this book is recommended for readers 17 and older! FAVORITE QUOTES: •Runaway Bride hooks up with Hot HVAC Guy •Runaway Bride flees Hot HVAC Guy. “Thank you. Stupid bet and all. You are the one who sent me up here.”

    This is another great read by Sarah Ballance. This story was funny, sweet, and hot! I couldn't put it down. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. "The 48-Hour Hookup" by Sarah Ballance is book number four in the "Chase Brothers" series. This can also be read as a standalone too. This is Liam Chase and Claire Stevens' story. Liam and Claire have things that they both are working through. Their first time meeting was so funny. Will they take a chance on love? One thing for sure is there is amazing chemistry between them. Get cozy and sit back and enjoy Liam and Claire's story. You will enjoy the addition of Stanley too. FYI, includes mature content. I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

    This story is so cute and it had me laughing out loud at times especially when Stanley comes to visit. It also had some really tender moments between Liam and Claire. These two had both been through a lot because of social media it was perfect that had each other to help them get past it. As with the other books in this series, this one is fun, light, and entertaining. Not a lot of angst or drama. Perfect afternoon read. I highly recommend it.
