Description

My name is Rose Madden and I have spent my life being the perfect daughter. Thanks to my daddy, I'm an expert marksman who dresses like some modern day freaking June Cleaver. My life has been perfectly scripted since the day I was born. I've never deviated from the plan—until I met attorney Max Decker. Now he has me doing insane things to get his attention, like grabbing him in his car and being arrested for stalking my ex-boyfriend just so he'll come bail me out of jail. He thinks I'm crazy—but he wants me anyway. Will he still feel the same when fate steps in, revealing my secret shame to him?

I’m not one to write a review because I end up all over the place with all the thoughts I have regarding the book. However getting to know the Rose behind the walls she has put around herself is great! There were moments where I was willing her to just to jump Max’s bones, moments of tears cause you can feel her pain in the way Sydney writes, moments of laughter because you wouldn’t expect the thing that come out of Rose’s mouth by the way she is described on the outside. Then there’s Max and if you have ready Lia and Luc’s story you get that picture of this sexy successful business man who doesn’t seem to have a soft bone in his body for anyone who even things of threatening his close close friends and they people they care about. Until Rose comes along and shows you that he is just as big of a softy as Luc! I do agree with some of the other reviewer’s that Rose’s story does feel rushed and more details could have gone into some parts but I won’t say which cause I don’t want to give any spoilers. Her story is a great read as well. I have yet to be disappointed by a book from Sydney Landon. Lastly I want to say I get that Rose’s story has nothing to do with Lia Luc’s. Sydney does a great job of showing you through all the characters as to why they were meant to be find each other and all become such close friends and family!

Unlike with Luc and Lia there was no closure of finality to this story, what happened between all parties? Especially Max and Rose!
  • A book about love, a fractured childhood and redemption

I’ve read all the books this author has written and have come to love her “English” writing style. Truly enjoyed every story and each book. As long as she writes, I’ll read it all.

I hated reading the other comments on this book where people either read all the books and loved them or compared this book to Lia's and Lucian's. ( no spoilers here either) First of all, this book is a spinoff within the series not apart of lia and lucian's story in the 3 squealed books. REMEMBER THAT?! 2nd, I feel like this is a great story in its own and worth the read. If you've read the first 3 books in sequence, then you know that Luc and his friends are similar and that Rose is definitely not a Lia, so the similarities that are there in the books, don't bother me much (personally). 3rd, is that I do feel like the book was rushed in certain areas where more detail would've made things clearer, but what is there doesn't confuse the hell out of you. There are a lot of ways the end of ROSE could go and it be great to find out how things continued between characters. * I also suggest the Lia & Lucian books (1-3) before reading this one. 👍🏽
