He's a player in more ways than one…

College junior John Logan can get any girl he wants. For this hockey star, life is a parade of parties and hook-ups, but behind his killer grins and easygoing charm, he hides growing despair about the dead-end road he'll be forced to walk after graduation. A sexy encounter with freshman Grace Ivers is just the distraction he needs, but when a thoughtless mistake pushes her away, Logan plans to spend his final year proving to her that he's worth a second chance.

Now he's going to need to up his game…

After a less than stellar freshman year, Grace is back at Briar University, older, wiser, and so over the arrogant hockey player she nearly handed her V-card to. She's not a charity case, and she's not the quiet butterfly she was when they first hooked up. If Logan expects her to roll over and beg like all his other puck bunnies, he can think again. He wants her back? He'll have to work for it. This time around, she'll be the one in the driver's seat…and she plans on driving him wild.

  • Another Book Finished In 48 Hours Or Less

Has similar elements to The Deal—male lead who experienced a difficult childhood (for different reasons) that he doesn’t want people to know about that continues to impact his life, who is seemingly as self aware as he is confident, and falls hard for a girl that flew under his radar at first— without feeling like a repeat of the same story with different names. The situation with Logan having feelings for Hannah in The Deal was resolved in this book in a way that felt very genuine. While the middle section (Summer Break) felt a bit drawn out and lackluster, it captured exactly how Logan felt about not only that Summer Break, but also what his life after graduation would be, so I understand why it was necessary. I liked that Grace’s personality didn’t change when she came back from Paris, she just became more confident learned how to stand her ground. I would definitely read the book again.

Could barley put it down long enough to sleep. Didn’t appreciate the Stars slander but I’ll let it slide just this once
  • Cute but not at good as the first one!

Garrett and Hannah seemed so cute that I had to keep reading. Although there were some really cute parts to this book, I feel like there was a long pause in it regarding the main characters and it made me impatient lol. I liked it but thought it got kind of predictable and I can tell Elle doesn’t like too much conflict in her books but I feel conflict is necessary to make the makeup scenes better. Good, but Garrett and Hannah’s story was perfect.

I really did not expect much from this book, I’ve held off for a couple months from reading it because Logan just seemed like an “eh” character for me but wow- talk about character development. And the ending, nearly cried🙊 I enjoyed!
