What I enjoyed most was that the MC Louvaen was a more mature lead featuring in a retelling. It took me a little while to get into this story, and who the romance would center on wasn’t immediately clear. However, I’m really happy I continued. It’s more touching than many of the traditional versions of this story. Plus, the family layers go much deeper. One remaining thing I’m not super clear on was how the curse was lifted. It was made to me a deeper thing in this story, and I didn’t feel that was clearly enough resolved. Still…this is a story with “all the feels”

Interesting characters and story. Dialogue with playful humor made me smile. Badly edited.

An overall enjoyable read that was intelligently written. The only negatives were the few errors in punctuation and at times the overuse of characters threatening each other humorously became a bit thin. That said I enjoyed this story and would recommend it to others.

I really love this story and this author. The world building and character intros are amazing. The magic makes sense and doesn't overwhelm the story. The love story builds slowly. The bad guys are fispicable, the hero is flawed but livable and the banter between characters made me chuckle and smile. I wouldn't say it had lol moments but a good chuckle is more than you can expect sometimes. The plot is well written and the mystery of the curse keeps you guessing how, or even if, it will be solved. The ending didn't feel rushed to me. It all flowed very well. Loved it. I don't give five stars often.
