First let me tell you why I am only giving this two stars. This got me through my semester. Now let me tell you why I wanted to give it one. This book is JANK. You can search by page number, but the page number the book provides and the one that apple book provides are totally different. That being said it makes this book hard to navigate and using this for a class is horrendous. There are tracks to help you while you practice but the tracks all have something extra going on in the background and there is no option to make it just the sound of the piano. This book isn’t very user friendly in general. I really don’t want to say that the author did a bad job, because they didn’t. But this book is TERRIBLY formatted to an electronic device. If you are looking at this for a piano class, my advice is to just get the physical copy. You can’t make annotations on the page. So I couldn’t mark things into my book like the rest of my class mates could. Genuinely, having this book on my iPad was an actual disadvantage in my class. Do yourself a favor. Don’t get this. Go get the physical book.
  • UGH so frustrating

This is my second semester with this book. it is INCREDIBLY frustrating in ALL ways. None of the pages line up with teacher pages, it’s completely missing things that the physical book has (like, why is there a COMPLETELY different Allagretto in the ebook over the print version?), there is no clear apparent way to toggle bewteen pages (meaning, if you want page 50, you have to hand scroll through 50 pages, because if you put page 50 into the search bar, it doesn’t bring you to print copy pg 50 like the rest of the class, it brings you to ebook page 50, which is a completely different page than the book version). It randomly splits pages into sections, and breaks up sections and songs. Sometimes, the ebook includes a “pdf” version of a song, but not always…. I’m just so frustrated. yes, I’ve checked for updates and all. I may have to buy the physical version, this ebook is a real PITA. Save yourself the frustration of nothing making sense and just get the physical copy. Also, this isn’t unique to me. I’m now in my second class using it, other studnts are using it too, and we are all beyond frustrated with it. Do yourselves the favor. Skip this one.
  • Bought for class, still had to buy physical copy

I bought this book for class and it was a nightmare. I could only find one of the pages we needed, despite them all being in the same chapter. The idea is cool, but it won't work for class. Waste of $30.

This is a revolutionary book. I’ve used this book several times for classes in physical form, but this new revised physical publication is AMAZING and worth the price! You will not be disappointed with this book!!

I am very impressed with the variety of teaching aids and student practice exercises. I'll be able to guide my students better in class this Fall for those that purchase the iBook and keep everything coordinated with the book users.
