African Birds is a collection of our bird images from our frequent travels to the beguiling continent that is Africa. The majority of the images have been taken with a prime 600mm lens and a 200-560mm zoom lens. These lenses are unwieldy, cumbersome and a pain to travel with but deliver great results with birds. There are images of 364 bird species from East and Southern Africa. Birds from Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe are represented over 900 pages. Scientific names have been included in the captions. This edition has been updated from our travels to South Africa and Botswana in 2025. Wayne and Pam are based in Perth, Western Australia.
