The plot has twists & turns with a somewhat reasonable ending. Enjoyed the characters. Glad I wasn’t alive then!

I really enjoyed this mystery. As always, Fiona Grace gives her readers well written stories!

I enjoyed reading this book for several reasons. It is set in the 1920’s in England during a time that was the beginning of the change of the class system. It was important to the story as Eliza was a free spirited woman who was smart & very entertaining as she kept trying to figure out who killed Lord Darlington. There was a twist near the end before the true murderer was revealed. I recommend this book to everyone who like cozy mysteries.
Good title…

Nice plot, nothing gory, good twists. Interesting time period. Family seems unaffected by WW1. But a good story
Excellent

The characters were fun and real to life. The ending remained a mystery until the end.

when i tell you my jaw dropped at least 15 times during this book, its so realistic as well. the thoughts running through Eliza's head are just as they would me, with just the right amount of stubbornness, yet enough common scene for it to be believable and realistic.
Changed my mind

I never thought I’d like this kind of novel, but this story, characters, plot, everything was just so good! I couldn’t put it down all week. I can’t wait to read the second book!
