  • Who ruined this book?

It was in my top 3 Balogh books and now the story is so dry! There is no opportunity to get emotionally invested in Pippa’s loneliness and depression and then relief. Their meeting at the tea, leading up to the book’s title, has no suspense because now Luc’s memory is stirred. I have read reviews from angry readers whose favorite books have been changed and not been moved, but now I’m one of them. I’m afraid to look at my other favorites in case you’ve ruined them too. Not well done.

I saved this book for a year, to read at a special time. I really wanted to drag it out longer but it only took a day and a half to read. It is a full loving story with hardships for the heroine and hero to overcome. It is full of family love, too.
