Description

War has taken everything from me. My family. My home. My innocence. In a country blasted by war and wracked by economic hardship, a young orphan girl like me has very few options when it comes to survival. Thus, I do what I must to live, to eat, and I try very hard to not consider the cost to my soul. My heart is empty, and my existence brutal.

The one impossibility in my life is love.

And then I meet HIM.

*  *   *

War is hell. It takes a chunk out of a man's very soul to do the kinds of things war demands of you. You live with fear, you live with guilt, and you live with nightmares. If you haven't been through it, there's no understanding it. War leaves no room for love, no room for tenderness or softness. You gotta be hard, closed off, and ready to fight every moment of every day. Lose focus for a split second, and you're dead.

Now the only thing that can save me is HER.

    It amazes me to see some people left reviews with less than five stars. I am kind of jaded when it comes to reading at this point. I have a hard time finding authors I can tolerate. This story was INTENSE, scorching hot, and saturated with true, unselfish love. Definitely a story I will not ever forget. Thank You Jasinda Wilder.

    This was the most raw and beautiful love story I have ever read. I can count on one hand the tales that have moved me, yet this tops them all.

    I was pleasantly surprised by wounded! Not that I am surprised of Jasinda but after reading "big girls" wounded was as she said very different for her. It was guy wrenching and heart warming all at the same time. I hope altho I have not been thru what Ranias character has been thru that I can feel love and completion that was displayed by Jasindas writing! I was extremely moved by " Wounded"! A must read! Ty Jasinda.

    I loved this story. I loved the way they work at understanding each other and how they feel about each other. (sighs) Their love is so raw and you just want everything for them to work out.

    this story was so raw and real and heartbreaking...sad and happy at the same time. I felt as tho these were real people. This book brought tears to my eyes. This shows what the price of war and freedom really is for everyone. It has changed my thinking and views of the "enemy". I understand now how the death of one can have a lasting affect on another. I started reading this at like 9:30 pm on a Thursday and finished at 2:30 am on Friday morning......knowing full well I have to be up at 5:30 am. This book was totally worth getting no sleep. I recommend this book to all. While this book is different from her other writings. I know you will love it as well. I could not put his down. I am glad that the ending was the way it was. I am in awe of this author and this book. The sex scenes between the main characters are well done and tasteful, I was amazed! Ohh I highly recommend reading this book on a weekend because you won't be able to put it down.....I tried!
