Description

Life is filled with trials: cancer, financial disaster, depression, the rejection of someone we love, and lingering health issues.  If God loves us, why doesn’t he care enough to protect us?  In the biblical book of James, we find the answer.  It is because God loves us.  For the Christian, trials bring spiritual maturity, something that is worth more than anything this world can offer.

In this series, we learn how to navigate our trials and receive the maturity God intends for us.  With each trial, there is a path of obedience, which leads to maturity.   Next to the path of obedience, an alternate path will always be present.

This is the temptation to sin in our trial.  This path derails the maturity God offers to give.

In this book, we learn how to steer clear of the sinful temptations, which every trial offers.  We learn how to face one of the most audacious trials, financial loss.  We learn what to do when we find ourselves in the slough of despondency because we can not imagine God’s good purpose in our present difficulties.

Are you in the middle of a trial?  The biblical book of James has honest answers to your questions about how to make it through.

I found this book to be very helpful. At first I was a little skeptical because I thought that this just might be a corny book from a pastor that just tells you lies and doesn't really know what he's talking about. I was wrong. This Dr. Kurt Trucksess really knows what he is talking about. His teaching is right straight from the bible, nothing less. I have to commemorate him for being one of those few pastors left now days that preaches straight from the word. I'd highly recommend you check this book out!
