Emanuel Swedenborg was nothing if not prolific. After the spiritual awakening that opened his eyes to the angels and demons that populate our universe, Swedenborg wrote book after book. Even though he was sometimes condemned as a lunatic or denounced as a heretic, Swedenborg's spiritualism would come to influence many disparate and surprising thinkers, writers and artists. This book collects extracts from many of the Swedenborg's theological writings. It gives a good overview of his religious and ethical thought, and is organized into subject categories. The sources of the quotations are also noted so that the teachings may be explored in more detail.
