Such a well told story and if only all children were given this book to read in school and then they could discuss what virtues and good lessons they learned from this book.

The beginning was difficult to understand, lots of staging ,but after the introduction, I was hooked! Great Christian story for young teens. Highly recommend this read.

The Tender Years draws you in and keeps you involved in the story line. You can relate to Virginia and everything she struggles with, her feelings and thoughts are as real and vivid as our own. A great read for young people as situations may change given the time of the story but the feelings and struggles are the same.
