Description

William Tell Sackett had followed a different path from his younger brothers, but his name, like theirs, was spoken with respect and just a little fear. Where Orrin had brought law and order from New Mexico to the plains of Montana, backed up by the gunfighting talents of his brother Tye, Tell Sackett’s destiny drew him to Texas after he had to kill a man. There, in the high, lonesome country, he came upon a vein of pure gold. All he’d wanted was enough to buy a ranch, but he soon learned that gold had ways of its own with men.

Reviews

  • A good western read

Although this book was quite a quick read, it only cost 99 cents, and I enjoyed the characters, especially, of course, William Tell Sackett, the title character. Badassery all around, and I do enjoy reading about times when folks were tough and hard-as-nails. The next books in the series are around $6, and too much, especially for such short books. I’ll wait for a sale.

The family value is evident in this book and shows the struggle of the western man.

Story is written well. Makes you feel as if you are there with the characters. The length of the story is appropriate, as some writers tend to unnecessarily drag a story out. Recommend this book. You can't go wrong with Mr L'Amour

Great story and told by the best. Mr. L'amour had me feel like I was up in the mountains with Tell wondering if we would make it out.
