Description

In this fantastical thriller, five young teens tapped as models for theme park 'guides' find themselves pitted against Disney villains and witches that threaten both the future of Walt Disney World and the stability of the world outside its walls. Using a cutting-edge technology called DHI--which stands for both Disney Host Interactive and Daylight Hologram Imaging--Finn Whitman, an Orlando teen, and four other kids are transformed into hologram projections that guide guests through the park. The new technology turns out, however, to have unexpected effects that are both thrilling and scary. Soon Finn finds himself transported in his DHI form into the Magic Kingdom at night. Is it real? Is he dreaming? Finn's confusion only increases when he encounters Wayne, an elderly Imagineer who tells him that the park is in grave danger. Led by the scheming witch, Maleficent, a mysterious group of characters called the Overtakers is plotting to destroy Disney's beloved realm, and maybe more.

  • Why isn’t this made into a Movie/Tv Show

The characters were outstanding espically Finn, how he learned how to become a strong successful leader and used the stereotypes as an entry point to the journey the teens. I’m a film major and I would love to see and adaption of this on the big or small screen. This could be disney meets Jurassic Park meets five nights at Freddy’s but with a twist, the park never dies. And the kingdom keepers are fighting together to not only keep disney alive but to keep a dream alive too.

This book cannot be described in words. Everything you think disney is, comes from a different perspective in this book, I was in 5th grade when I first read this book. Im in high school now and IM STILL READING IT! I have read the book about 20 times and every time I read it I just fall more in love with it and it allows me to read about an adventure that looks back at people's childhoods and makes it a modern day adventure between friends.

This book is fantastic. The writing really puts the reader into the book. Finn's character development is great, and the story is rich. Awesome read!

This book has PHENOMENAL writing, I'm not just saying that because I love Disney. Descriptive writing, numerous cliffhangers, and puzzles that I have no remote capability of! A must read, even if u have never been to Disney, but that may help!

To all the people rating this book 5 stars: Have you ever read a book in your life? This is far from being great. Very rushed narrative and the characters are just shallow. The series had potential, but the author just didn't know how to develop it.

I thought that this book was a real page turner, and moved at a fast pace. The only thing that I thought could be improved was his writing, but overall, he did an amazing job.
