Description

From New York Times bestselling author Christopher Rice comes a novel about an Iraq war vet seeking redemption and revenge when a fellow Marine is brutally murdered.

John Houck became a Marine to become a hero. But his life changed when he failed to notice an explosive device that ended up maiming his captain, a respected military man who nearly sacrificed himself to save John’s life. Home from Iraq, John pays a visit to his former captain, only to discover the captain has been gruesomely murdered. John pursues a strange man he sees running from the scene, but he discovers that Alex Martin is not the murderer. Alex is, in fact, the former captain’s secret male lover and the killer’s intended next victim.

A gripping story of honor and integrity, of turning failure into victory, Blind Fall is the story of two men, one a Marine, one gay, who must unite to avenge the death of the man they both loved—one as a brother-in-arms, one as a lover—and to survive.

Such a great story. Once again Rice has captivated me with his creativity. I can't wait for more of his books to be available on here.
  • Like a fine wine, Christopher Rice gets better with age.

Due to a hectic professional schedule, I had taken a long hiatus from pleasure reading. My first dip back into the pool of literature was this book, having read the author's first two novels several years earlier. A pattern I noticed with the first two novels is that you can actually see the author's writing style improve with age and experience. The third novel follows that same pattern and I am happy to say that it was worth every precious stolen minute to make my way through the book. I'm now moving on to his next novel and am anxious to see how he outdoes himself this time...

In a way that surprised me and also touched me, I fell in love with this book. It is current to the real issues of today such as DADT and the mass suicides of gay youth. It really develops the surprising characters and moves you in ways you are not prepared for. Great job Chris. I am a loving fan.
