So far this book has been the best written of the entire series. Actually describes scenes and characters in depth. And the story seems to be picking up more for relationships and character development wise.

This might be my favorite book in the series! Kate and Curran's relationship finally kicks up a notch, and the underground fighting ring plot line kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. It was an incredible read!

Kate Daniels is an action packed urban fantasy series with superb writing, great character development in a fantastically gritty, wonderfully detailed post-apocalyptic urban setting. In this third installment for the series, Kate becomes more emotionally involved with the people around her, we learn more about Curran's background and how he became Beast Lord, and the romance between these two characters picks up even more steam. The side characters stay true to character, growing as events unfold, and Kate's past finally starts catching up to her hinting that the series has more excitement in store for us.
