I absolutely loved this story of Penelope & Gill, a couple about to celebrate 10 years of marriage❣️ It is beautifully written by Grace Burrowes & I highly recommend it to everyone‼️👏. Penelope & Gill were happy together until something happened to them after one year, then Gill lost his father making Gill the new Viscount Summerton! He then had to leave Pen in a sad state to learn his duties at the family estate‼️ Throughout the next 9 years, the couple struggled, but it wasn’t until their 10th anniversary loomed, that they each left London only to end up in the place they were happiest!❣️ Grab your copy of A Tryst by the Sea to find out if Penelope & Gill have the courage to talk of their painful past, to compare memories & find out what really happened when they were so young & in love‼️ I believe you’ll agree with my 5-star rating! This novel truly brought me to tears throughout the story. The author truly made me feel the heartache, their doubts, their questions, their fears and the misunderstandings within their relationship that almost destroyed their love. You feel their pain and and their fear of losing the love they once shared and I waited breathlessly hoping for their love to endure. If you love stories of a love that overcomes, this is a MUST read!

A long time married couple who no longer communicates. They are on such diametrically opposite sides of their marriage, how, how will they get back to being a functional couple? Gil is ever hopeful that this year will be different. Penelope is ready to leave him. When they both end up at the cottage where they began their marriage, can they find their way back to one another after almost a decade of estrangement after a tragedy? Recommend.

Gill and Penelope love each other, but since the death of their child and his father in short order several years ago, they have become more and more distant. Both want a new start. Gill wants to put their marriage back on track. Penelope wants to end it. Seeking solace and a place to think, they each travel to Siren’s Retreat. Will the resort work its magic for them, or will they part ways? This is a sad, but lovely story of a couple who lost their way. Unfortunately, they had help. Gill’s meddling family betrayed them years ago. When Gill discovers the misery they have caused Penelope, he takes action. Hopefully he is not too late to win Penelope back. This is a poignant second chance romance. It is surprising how a little fun and a lot of talk sheds light on a problem. This is the first of four stories set at Siren’s Retreat, a seaside inn where it is said that if you stay the night, you will find your true love. Will it help Gill and Penelope rediscover their true love? I enjoyed and recommend this emotional and touching story. I look forward to the other books in the series. This lovely and heartfelt story tells the tale of a young couple, married for 10 years, who have lost the connection that they used to have. Vergillus and Penelope coincidentally find themselves at the same Siren’s Retreat where they spent their honeymoon, she to ask for a divorce, he to rekindle their lost love. When they finally communicate openly and honestly, they find that the tragedy that they experienced was not the real reason for their estrangement, but a more sinister explanation is uncovered. As always, the writing is beautiful, descriptive, and emotional. The inevitable HEA is satisfying and beautiful.
