Description

Mankind faces the worst pandemic in modern history.

Raymond Roberts is an Englishman teaching English in Wuhan, Hubei, China. It’s an underwhelming, mediocre Chinese city of twelve million people, with no notable distinctions to make anyone notice its existence, unless you happen to live there. Until that is, it becomes the epicentre of a viral pandemic outbreak that sweeps the globe.

The city is on quarantined lockdown – the largest in human history. Raymond ignored the calls from the British Government when they offered him a chance to leave with other British Nationals. Like everyone else, he presumed the People’s Republic of China is overreacting.

Quarantined to his tiny one-room apartment, Raymond becomes restless and starts spending his time trying to work out what’s going on, through China’s restricted social media and the Internet.

In doing so he draws unwanted, dangerous attention.
