Description

I sold my soul to a man I hate. Now, he owns me.

I had a plan: sign a contract and board a plane to Ibiza. The anonymous deal would salvage the smoldering wreckage of my life.

It would not involve billionaire Harrison King, the reason I need saving in the first place.

He's as beautiful as he is ruthless. A British business titan who makes a living getting what he wants.

The man flies private. Dates supermodels. But the crisp accent and cocky smirk don't fool me. He's a gentleman on the outside, a savage beneath.

He knows nothing about compromise, and even less about love.

Because after my attempt to publicly stand up for those who needed it, he destroyed my reputation. Now, he's come for the rest of me.

I can't escape him, no matter what he has planned. But the first rule of war is never underestimate your opponent.

Harrison King might know my secrets… But kings keep secrets too.

BEAUTIFUL ENEMY is an enthralling, explosive full-length romance from USA Today bestselling author Piper Lawson. It is book 1 in the addictive new ENEMIES trilogy.

The characters were interesting, the chemistry good, and the story in an unusual setting/industry. While I found this book to be quite good, I don’t have the book budget to pay for the remaining 3 books. I did find the few typos distracting but not enough to ruin the flow of the story. I’d recommend this book if you’re able to purchase the remaining books to this story or if you’re ok leaving the series on a cliffhanger. I received a free copy of this book for my honest opinion.

I just finished the audio and ooh wow it was so good! The narrators brought life to these characters and emotions. I loved the story. Billionaire Mogul Harrison vs up-and-coming DJ Rae have a back and forth enemies to lovers to enemies in the first book of this series! When the audio ended I needed to find a way to hop right into the next. Rae being a DJ was really cool and I adored her and Harrison’s dynamic. This story was fun, with a splash of emotion and angst! I can’t wait for the next books!

🎧ALC Review🎧 Beauty Enemy was such a great audiobook experience!💖 I’m a huge fan of Samantha Brentmoor and Shane East. This was such a fun book, I loved listening to it! The chemistry between the characters was palpable and the narration just took it to the next level! I loved Brentmoor’s performance here. It was so real and it really elevated the story. Same thing with East you can see why he’s so beloved in the romance community! Thank you Valentine PR for the chance to review this ALC!

Piper Lawson is quickly becoming one of my new favorite go to authors. Beautiful Enemy is the first part of Rae & Harrison’s story and oh what a story. Rae has hated Harrison long before she ever met him based off of things that happened at the clubs he owns. When their worlds collide through mutual friends an enemies to combustion story begins. Their story really begins to heat up when Harrison manipulates Rae into playing at a club he owns (something she swore she would never do) for a month in Ibiza. He not only has her playing their but also has her staying on his property in his house. Of course this story ends on a cliffhanger but you need to get this asap. The new audio version is off the charts as well!

I just finished the audiobook and I loved it! The narration fit the characters perfectly. The voices were age appropriate and the performances were great. Rae and Harrison clash from the first minute they lay eyes on each other making for some very sizzling encounters. They have an instant dislike but also an undeniable pull to each other. I loved how they both changed with each interaction. They are both carrying a lot of baggage around and I can’t wait to see where this story goes.

Another Piper Lawson win for me. I've loved nearly everything I've read/Listened to from Piper and this series doesn't stop the love. This is a spin off of Tyler and Annies story ( You do get to revisit old favorites however Rae OWNED this story. I loved loved loved that there was an ethnic female lead. Rae - a female DJ trying to make her name in the world finds herself in a bit of a pickle when she finds it only right to stand up for the behavior of some crappy men. Insert the club owner whos now dealing with the backlash from all that. Is Rae falling for the Beautiful Enemy? This book has so many tropes - age gap, enemies to lovers, and broody billionaire Samantha Brentmoor and Shane East did a fantastic job on this narration!
  • Hooked on this series!

~*~ Audio Review~*~ I was immediately pulled in to this story right from the beginning. After Rae decides to stand up for something she believes her reputation is destroyed and she decides take a DJ job in Ibiza and later learns that she was hired by the same guy that ruined her, Harrison King. Rae and Harrison’s chemistry is off the chart despite not liking each other very much and the verbal sparring between them was entertaining. I love them watching them get to know each other and she realizes there is a lot more to him than a rich guy that doesn’t care. They have an undeniable connection and I really enjoyed these characters. Samantha Brentmoor does an amazing job at bringing out Rae’s strength and Shane East is perfect as the broody club owner. Together they bring Rae and Harrison to life and I cannot wait to hear more from these two in this trilogy.

I was able to listen to this wonderful audio book narrated by Shane East and Samantha Brentmoor. They both did an amazing job. Nice transition between the two nicely. Aw Harrison Rae…..They had it in for each other. Miss speak her mind and Harrison the billionaire who owns the club she is going to work for for the up coming weeks must get along. Now this is a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series to see what happens to Rae and Harrison. I received this ARC through the publisher and I am voluntarily reviewing this book, opinions are my own

This is book 1 in the enemies trilogy. It's a billionaire, enemies to lovers story that is full of chemistry, drama and so much sexual tension it flies off the pages. It will keep you hooked from the start. This is Rae's story and if you read the Rivals series you will remember her as one of Annie's best friends. This one leaves you with a WTH cliffhanger that has you screaming to know what happens next. As for narration, Shane East and Samantha Brentmoor are the perfect Rea and Harrison. They really capture their personalities and bring this book to life.
