Description

Nate Long has always watched over his identical twin brother, Aaron, even when it put him on the wrong side of the law. When Aaron is wounded in a shootout, the brothers are taken to Settler's Fort to recover. As Nate works to make reparations for their past, he marvels at the nursing Aaron receives under the care of a woman with all the reason in the world to resent him.

Laura Hannon knows what it is to start over, and she knows Nate's newfound faith is real. What she can't look past is how far he allowed himself to be led astray by his brother's weaknesses.

As a fledgling trust grows between Nate and Laura, they stumble upon a mysterious cave in the mountains that may not be as uninhabited as it seems. While working together to unravel the secrets surrounding the cave, will the new lives they seek for themselves include love, or does too much stand between them?

I love the thread of redemption that flows throughout this story. Nate is making amends for past decisions, Aaron must deal with the pain of his wounds both physical and spiritual, and Laura is caught between the past and the future. Their lives are intertwined by the consequences of one action. This book is full of well written characters unique in their personalities and motives. The secondary characters are realistic and rounded out the story. Each person wrestles with their own demons as they grow individually and in relationship with each other, and we find that redemption is more than just a word. Excellent book. I was given a copy of this book courtesy of Bethany House a division of Baker Publishing Group through NetGalley. This is my honest assessment of this book.

Faith’s Mountain Home was a fast read like all Misty Beller’s books...and the story jumps right in..so of course I loved it! From the very beginning you fall for all the characters. You can read this book alone but it does have characters from the previews books, which I loved reading about their lives now. This book brings you right into the story and I know you will love it as much as I did!! It’s a clean romance with action and adventure. Laura and Nate know each other from previous books when she was kidnapped by a gang Nate and his brother Aaron were apart of...he’s working to repay their debts. Aaron was shot in the leg by accident so he can not help him and he’s in the clinic where Laura happens to work. While Aaron works on his recovery..Laura and Nate help an old Indian and his granddaughter. They got separated from their tribe and are living in a cave. Caring for these two brings Laura and Nate closer together and they realize how much they care for each other. They all have a difficult past to over come but with God’s love and guidance they can make it!

The author has given us a wonderful conclusion to the Hearts of Montana series. The detailed scenery makes you feel like you are on that mountain side along with the well developed characters as they work through the past to find a future in Settler’s Fort, Montana. The physical pain as well as unforgiveness felt by Aaron, due to poor choices, was palpable. It seemed to be impossible to help him, even if you were his twin brother, Nate. Finding a cave with its own mysteries gives Laura and Nate a chance to focus on helping someone else. Between danger, kidnapping and surprises the story brings the reader around to a lovely end to this series where forgiveness and trusting in the Lord make all the difference. An ARC was received through Baker Publishing Group and NetGalley. The rating, impressions and comments are my own and were in no way solicited.
