Another player falls!
By Samantha B. Sokol
Another player falls! Logan has had a rough time in his rookie season between the death of his father and a combination of misplaced anger and guilt, and after being suspended for a large number of games, he decides to run home and figure out if hockey is still his future. Summer, one of the sports psychologists, travels to Logan’s hometown to track him down and get him to take a chance on her being his psychologist because she really needs this job. As an only child and still struggling with the death of her own mother, she is focused on landing Logan as her client and fights the attraction she feels to him, even when he pushes her away. He thankfully gives her a chance, and she stays on his family’s property to get to know him more as well as fit in sessions and start helping him compartmentalize. The bulk of this story is these two fighting their feelings and attraction, and by the time Logan realizes it, it’s too late, and Summer has returned home and referred him to a new psychologist. I loved the sweet story this couple had and I can’t wait to see who’s next!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is book 3 in the Looking to Score series and it features rookie hockey player, Logan and therapist, Summer. Their connection feels soul deep. Her connection with his family feels like it’s meant to be. Their emotional vs. professional struggle was real. Their choices were heartbreaking.
The story line was fantastic! The main thread of this story had little to do with hockey but enough to come out in this hockey series. Character growth was full of emotion. This was a beautiful romance and I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
Total honesty…I loved this book. This was one of those books that I knew I was going to love once I started reading it. I don’t know if that is weird or not, but that is how I felt. My feelings weren’t wrong. If it weren’t for that dreaded sleep, I would have finished this book in one night. This book was a pleasure to get lost in and read.
Logan Tate is a troubled rookie on the Boston Titan NHL Team. He is on the verge of losing his career. The only way to make it back on the ice, see one of the team-appointed Sports Psychologists. Summer is a Sports Psychologist that is trying to get her practice off the ground. She knows that helping Logan will be just what she needs to establish her career and her practice. When she goes to Colorado to chase down Logan, she gains more than just a client. She finds a life.
To me, this book was more than just a hockey romance. It was about two people who lost their center. They were only existing but not living. Through their partnership, they found not only their center but a reason for living. This book is well written and filled with great characters. I didn’t want it to end.
This book pulls you in from the very beginning with Logan and Summer just keeps you interested when they form their connection. This one doesn’t primarily deal with hockey, but more of grief, loss of a loved one and how to deal and process the pain and hurt. I absolutely loved this storyline and how close Summer gets in with Logan’s family. A fantastic addition to the Looking to Score series, can’t wait for the next one in this series.

A sweet sports romance read.
A sweet sports romance read! Logan Tate is a swoon worthy character with his bad boy image but a sweetheart. His dealing with a lot after the lost of his father and when the team gives him an ultimatum he finds himself face to face with Summer. They weren’t expecting each other, but when she finds herself spending time with his family, it opens her eyes to so much more. This was a cute storyline with likable characters that made for an enjoyable easy to read romance.
As his therapist, Summer should never be involved with Logan, but as they spend more time together, they have a hard time stopping and completely fall in love over a couple weeks. I love his family and they most definitely love Summer. The family do their best to keep her and help them see they should be together. I really like how she helps him appreciate what he has AND does what she was supposed to as his therapist.
I received a free copy of this book.
Can she help the hockey player?
Logan, 23, is a hotheaded new NHL hockey player in Boston who is suspended from the team after several angry fights on the ice and bad publicity and the team was requiring him to meet with a therapist about his a anger issues. His dad had recently died, there were family issues Logan was dealing with, and he was experiencing self-doubt about his abilities and returned to his family home in Colorado. Summer is a therapist who had recently lost her mom and started her own practice and needs the money so she heads to Colorado to see Logan even though he never responded to any of her messages. When she arrives Logan wants her to leave but his mother insists that she stay in a cabin on their property. They both finally agree to talk and be completely honest with one another. Will they start having feelings for one another or will they remain strictly professional?
I absolutely loved this story of the troubled hockey player who has to decide what he really wants to do in his life. The author did a fantastic job showing how Logan’s family situation was affecting his whole outlook on his career and life. We also saw that Summer’s loss of her single mom had affected her life and she became close with Logan’s mother, grandfather, and brothers while she was in Colorado. The hockey was a secondary part of the story that to me emphasized family and emotion. I especially loved the humorous incident were Logan’s mom gives them her “special” tea when they re going to talk. This great story had a perfect ending with the epilogue and I can’t wait to read about more of Logan’s teammates.

Just my type. Seriously sexy, highly entertaining and perfectly romantic. This was a fantastic story filled with so much emotion, love, heat, laugh out loud situations and a meddling family that you just can’t get enough of. I just couldn’t put this story down.
Logan Tate has a lucrative contract and is a rookie defenseman with the Boston Titans Hockey franchise but lately he has been dominating the headlines, for all the wrong reasons, until finally he is suspended for eight games for an illegal tackle. But because of his anger issues, he will have to speak with a therapist and they will have to clear him in order to return to his team. Logan is still processing the death of his father at the beginning of the season and feels guilty because his mother and brothers need him back home. So he returns to Colorado.
Summer Campbell is a counselor that the Boston Titans send to Logan’s family home. Thinking that this will be a quick one day trip Summer isn’t prepared to stay very long, but with the cold shoulder Logan is giving her and the fact that she needs this job to get her business off its feet she is not about to give up.
“You can’t enjoy the sweet until you’ve tasted the bitter.”
Since the moment Logan and Summer meet I was all in. The simmering animosity between them, as well as an emotional connection explodes into off the charts, electric chemistry that jumps off the page. And neither of them seem capable of resisting their burning attraction. But with a little push from a meddling mother and some sibling rivalry that will have you laughing out loud at times this relationship just might be what they both are looking for.
“This kiss-this incredible kiss-tastes like devotion and desperation. I cant get enough of it. “
These characters bring such heartfelt emotions in this story, both dealing with a great personal loss, that it really made me feel their pain but I also felt their happiness as well. They are such great characters and this story brought all the feels. You don’t want to miss this one!!
I received an early copy and this is my honest review.
I loved Logan & Summer book! It was the absolute sweetest storyline & had my heart melting from their very first meeting.
Loved LoLo! I want some of that tea!
I loved Logan & Summer’s story! I want the tea!!! Summer took a chance and found her family. I loved that his brothers saw her as family. I loved his growth, and you could just feel the weight he was carrying. You could feel her loneliness. Together they just clicked. I loved that!
