Then fate threatens to send her back to Australia and the dueling duo are forced to accept a fake marriage to keep their dreams alive. First of all, this is the coolest trilogy with a different author writing each book. The first two have been incredible and the stories flow together so well and the second refers to the first in such a way you wouldn’t even really notice the different author if you didn’t know. I loved book one out of Sweet Ridge but I think I’m even more attached to the characters in this one. You learn to really love Gage who is a ma with ambition yet incredibly sweet. Charlotte is technically oil man Gage’s worst nightmare, an environmental scientist who ensures oil men like Gage protect the environment while they drill for oil. Such an unlikely couple but the author really makes them work. Perhaps my favorite part of these books so far is the mystery that is kind of interwoven between them. The three brothers each had expectations of what they were to receive when their father passed and all three were surprised when their promised inheritance was given to someone else. Gavin and Gage are catching on to dad’s intentions and have learned about their dad in the process. I cannot wait to read Grayson’s story and find out even more.
