Description

A moment. A mistake. That's all it took for Kennedy Reynolds to lose her first love and her family. She's spent a decade traveling the world, building a life, hiding the truth, never looking back at the past--until her adopted mother's unexpected death pulls her back to the small town--and the secret--she left behind.
A chance to make amends. That’s all Xander Kincaid wants from the woman who ran away with his heart all those years ago. At least that's what he tells himself, until he sees her again and that old flame flares bright.
Struggling to bridge the gap with her estranged sisters, salvage her mother's legacy, and care for the foster child her mother left behind, Kennedy finds an unexpected ally in Xander. Falling back into his arms is dangerously tempting, but accepting his support could spell disaster. The truth behind her sudden departure must stay hidden. Will the past stay in the past, or will Kennedy’s unveiled secret devastate her chance at reclaiming love?
Charming, poignant, and sexy, When You Got a Good Thing  pulled me in with its sweet charm and deft storytelling, and didn't let go until the very last page. It  has everything I love in a small-town romance!  ~USA Today Best-Selling Author Tawna Fenske

  • Good title but it actually should be 100 ways to make a reader cry

This story is so good. The more you get to know Kennedy the more you cry. That’s it you’ll love how strong and independent she is, she had no other choice unfortunately. As someone who had to leave home and never come back. This story hits close to reality and I cried so much because she had that closure I’ve never been able to achieve. Xander was a really goo and understanding character that once he saw things through her shoes he realized his mistake and I love him for it. Too bad I can’t have a Xander like this one in my life but I’ll re read so many times.

    Good distraction.
  • Good Book: Needs editing though

The book was heartwarming, with great characters. However, there are a lot of run-on sentences, that detracted from the book. If the book had an editor, the book would have been bought or recommended more. Plus, the reviews would be higher & in turn it would earn the writer more money!! Think about it & you know that is true!!

I received an ARC of this book from Kait Nolan and have chosen to review it. What a great way to start a series the characters just drew me in and didn’t want to let me go. This book was just so easy to read. I finished it within a day and I can’t wait for the next one. I fell absolutely in love with the Reynolds sister and it was great to see one of them find their happily ever after. I can’t wait for the next book in the series to fall even more in love with this family. This book was just a truly wonderful and beautiful story.

Second book I have read by this author and it didn’t disappoint. A good read that reminds me of Nora Roberts and her books about families trials and tribulations, but ultimately reaches an HEA.

Stand alone book. Characters were well developed, great story line and it was heart warming. It did get a little talky… I almost wanted to skip a few pages. I didn’t but wanted to, not wanting to miss something important. But overall a great read and very emotional, I did get teary eyed.

Had me smiling from start to finish. Well written and entertaining. Enjoyed the happy, suffered the loss and lived with the characters from beginning to end!

I loved this story! I loved the characters, story line & the family unit that existed. But especially the connection that remained between Kennedy and Xander. I’ve read the entire Misfit Inn series & LOVED EVERY ONE OF THEM❣️

Love the characters...sisters ( Pru, Maggie, Athena, and Kennedy) who are brought together again with the death of their mother who was in the process of adopting Ari, her final adopted daughter. Xander, Kennedy’s true love evens out the main characters in the story. Can Kennedy finally bridge the emotional issues her abrupt leaving 10 years ago caused her family as well as the only man she has ever loved? Secrets split the family. Can enough forgiveness exist to make this family whole again? I recommend this book to readers who want to delve into the realm of guilt, love and forgiveness.
