Virgil Flowers at his best. Great series! Great characters!

I like almost all Virgil flower novels. This one is boring. Hard to get into the story, the characters aren’t compelling, not a fun book. Sorry John! Love your writing and guess everyone writes a dud sometimes. Just don’t become Grisham and make it a regular occurrence.

Basic. If your looking for Robert Parker quality character driven novel, look elsewhere. Scale of 1-10...4. Read Louise Penny instead for award winning cop drama.

Fun read

It’s just a horrible book. No character development, no one to like, one, this one, hates all the characters for being so stupid. Silly plot. That’s just one fool's opinion for paying for it.

Not my favorite Sandford book, and I have read every one. Virgil was made to appear as a Barney Fife character (bumbling idiot) Way too many pages about gun information, who cares? Goofy story line, did John really write this book? Hard to believe he did. Don' waste your money like I did.

For the most part a good read. Not quite up to par as far as Virgil stories. Too many non-character characters. I read in my spare time, so rarely more than a chapter or two at one sitting, so I found the whole story a bit too tangled.
