Description

Elite Guardians bodyguard Haley Callaghan may be in South Carolina, but when a photo leads investigators in West Ireland to open a twenty-five-year-old cold case, her life is suddenly in danger. Haley knows how to take care of herself; after all, she's made a career out of taking care of others. But after an uncomfortably close call, Detective Steven Rothwell takes it upon himself to stay with her--and the young client she has taken under her wing. A protector at heart, he's not about to let Haley fight this battle alone.

In a sweeping plot that takes them into long-buried memories--and the depths of the heart--Haley and Steven will have to solve the mystery of Haley's past while dodging bullets, bombs, and bad guys who just won't quit.

  • Excellent Read!

I love this series. I had the book on hold through my library, but just couldn’t wait 55 days! It generally happens with Lynette’s books. They’re just too good to wait. $9.99 is awfully steep for an ebook, but I may break down again when the next book come out. The new series looks just as gripping, and looks like it will be 6 books. More is always better, with a great author.

CHASING SECRETS by Lynette Eason book # 4 in Elite Guardian series A cold case, in Ireland ,that O'Brien requested to work on, Aileen was his friend. He was suppose to been on bus, home with the flu. Now 25 years later a picture is shown to Ian, who has been in seclusion all this time. Taken of the bus group, Aileen and nanny not there. The killers never found was it mafia, family feud or what. This story is of Hayley, DNA shows she is also Allison, Ian's granddaughter. She is a body guard, friend to Quinn's wife, and meeting his new partner Steven. When she finds out why someone is watching her, will she believe them, or afraid, that the nightmares were real. A good plot, a lot of action, mystery to figure out what was behind this. Enjoyable series, as all of Lynette Eason books are. Given ARC by Net Galley for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
