Abducted is the third in the Pacific Coast Private Eyes series by Dana Mentink. As I have come to expect from her books, I was hooked from page one. Under unexpected circumstances, high school sweethearts Sarah Gallagher and Dominic Jett meet again in Mexico. Jett shows up in the medical mission hospital where Sarah is working with a man, Del Young, who he saved from some other men who were trying to kill him. Sarah and Jett quickly figure out that there are multiple men after Mr. Young because he knows the whereabouts of a very expensive painting that both men are after. After some betrayal and an unexpected turn of events, Sarah and Jett end up being abducted along with Del Young and taken to a remote island. Readers will definitely keep turning the pages to find answers to the following questions...how will they escape, where is the painting and who will find it first, and can Sarah and Jett rekindle that long lost first love. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and seeing first hand their battles with difficult pasts, the loss of loved ones and their honesty about the struggles with their faith while staying on the edge of my seat to see what was going to happen next. This book kept me guessing until the very end! I would definitely recommend it. Once again, Dana Mentink found that perfect balance of romance and suspense! I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review

This is the third book in the Pacific Coast Private Eyes series, but it can be read as a standalone. Once again, this author has written a story that is an outstanding combination of intriguing characters, romance and second chances, faith and suspense that had me hooked from the first pages and kept me reading to see what could possibly happen next. There are lots of twists and turns that kept me guessing until the final pages. Stories like this are the reason that this author is one of my favorite writers of Christian suspense, and it is one that I definitely recommend. I was given a copy of this book by the author, but a favorable review was not required and the opinions expressed are mine alone.
