The Lovegame is a story with mystery and suspense that will keep you guessing. I found that Tracy Wolff told a tale with shocking twists and turns while still managing to be realistic. I loved the character of Ian Sharpe his job as a True Crime novelist really appealed to me. I can be found watching the true crime stories on the History Channel every night. I am completely enthralled by that kind of stuff. Veronica is beautiful woman on the outside but a bit broken on the inside. She wears a mask for the public, her persona as the Hollywood starlet always in place. No one has ever been able to penetrate her shell of flash and glamour. Until Ian enters her perfectly orchestrated world and shatters all her walls.
Ian sees passed her fake smile and the performance she puts on for the world. In his business he had to learn how to get people to tell him their deepest darkest secrets and desires. When she tries to get him under her spell he turns the tables on her and gets her to show her secrets.
They have such an explosive chemistry between them that its clear they are unable to deny it. The love scenes were fantastic total page turner. Both of these characters have secrets and experience has taught them not to trust people. But there is something about their connection that has them thinking that taking a chance at the Lovegame just might be worth it.

I just couldn't get into it. Dragged on and so wordy. I love and read of all Tracey Wolff's books but definitely not this one.
Intense, suspenseful book!

I was gifted this book for an honest review. I never read a book from this author before, but I am hooked after reading this book. Ms. Wolff is an incredible talent. This book had me captivated from the beginning until the last word written. Tracy wrote with so much emotion when it was Veronica's point of view. I was floored. Both lead characters were flawed because of their pasts. But together they helped each other understand and start to heal. Intense, wonderful book!
A little slow to start but a decent read

It took me a while to get into the story. Veronica is a complex character who really does not know herself. Ian tries to figure her out by doing a good job at reading her body language and such. The story picks up the pace and I did enjoy it.
Overall a great new story!

Ian Sharpe use to be an FBI profiler who worked with serial killers because of certain circumstances that happened in his past. Now, Ian is a Pulitzer prize-winning, New York Times best selling writer, who writes stories that revolve around real-life serial killers. He is currently working on a story that has led him to actress Veronica Romero, the most sought after vixen in all of Hollywood. Veronica just happened to get the lead part in his last book, Belladonna, and he just happened to get selected to interview her for a piece in Vanity Fair....a perfect excuse to try and get the answers from her that he needs. After meeting Veronica, Ian is smitten. It is obvious that Veronica is hiding things and Ian is determined to find out the answers. Of course there is instant, off-the-charts chemistry between the two, but she tends to just do one-night stands. When Ian provides Veronica with something she has never had happen before, one time turns into many! As Veronica starts to open up to Ian, he starts to realize that he is having real feeling for her, and also doubts about pursuing his book. On top of that, Veronica has to deal with a mother who acts more like a child, in a world where they want to keep the past a secret.
I just adored Ian. He is very good at his job and at reading people and he was able to help Veronica with what she really needed in life. I love how he fought so hard for her. You couldn't help but root for Veronica to finally get her happy ending and boy did she.
This story is very different from anything that Tracy Wolff has written before. It kept me intrigued with such a great story and great characters. I loved the suspenseful side of the story as well as the romance. Overall a great new story!

I read LOVEGAME as an early copy and holy hell, it's beautiful. The story is amazing and thrilling and captivating, but what really stuck with me the most is Tracy's writing style. It's like music. It's beautiful and lyrical- soft and harsh in all the right places. It's unbelievably magical how she weaves her words. She has a fan for life and I'll read all her books now. This story in particular is entirely unique- I've never read anything like it. It'll stick with me for a long, long time. EVERYONE GO READ IT ASAP!
HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended read!!

FABULOUS book about two people desperately trying to get beyond their past. Sucked in from page one, I was on the edge of my seat throughout half the book, never wanting to put it down. Crazy twists and never ending suspense, my heart ached for Veronica and Ian, both desperate for something they aren't willing to admit they deserve. So well written, incredible and very different story line, I was left in a bawling mess of tears. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended read!!!
