I loved this imaginative, unique, and well written story by Sam Cheever. Angie is the owner of a coffee shop that accidentally overhears two of her patrons plotting to kill a man named Alastair. She panics but then does the right thing and tries to warn him. The man she pictures isn’t at all what she encounters and this entire book is not what I expected. It’s a fun plot of equal parts romance, mystery, and hilarity! The characters are very well developed and it doesn’t mimic the usual clean romance storyline at all. It’s a refreshing spin on what’s usually a tired old story of boy meets girl. I read it all in one weekend between tasks and enjoyed the characters, plot, and writing because it had me hooked on page one. The only change I would have made is to portray the main character, Angie, as a stronger more independent woman. The writing makes her seem scared and simple whereas her actions show her to be a strong and independent woman! I hope I get the chance to read the rest of the novels by this author.

Loved the characters and the story even thou their last name is corny. The suspense was great but what I really loved was the humor!!!
