Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary Islands. Historically a land of goat herders and fishermen, today the island is a tourist attraction while remaining both peaceful and uncrowded. As part of the Canaries, Fuerteventura is part of Spain and its official language is Spanish, but you will also hear English and German as 20,000 people who live here were born outside of Spain.
